Abstract: A solid pre-cast prestressed concrete foundation pile and associated installation components having a single prestressing strand located on the longitudinal center axis of the pile, reinforced in the ends only with helix shaped wire reinforcement. The prestressing strand extends beyond the concrete face on the end to present an attachment point for a connection device used to transmit forces from a structure foundation and to accommodate the utilization of a unique, reusable cushion block and, where necessary a, particular internal splice device to form a continuous pile composed of multiple segments. The cushion block receives hammer blows applied to the top of the pile necessary to the driving (installation) process, affording protection to the pile top, the exposed strand and the internal splice device. The completed installation may include the optional attachment of the connection device (when required) after removal of the cushion block.

Abstract: A pocket-sized device for training an individual's putting stroke through muscle development and muscle memorization. A guide plate of the device is a rectangular base having contrasting lines running length-wise and three holes spaced along the center length-wise. The center hole is for a T-shaped center stake to anchor the guide plate to the putting surface. The center stake is placed through the center hole of an upright, substantially U-shaped guide bar that pivots above the guide plate around the downward projecting center spike of the center stake. A flat, annular washer, through which the center spike is inserted, is located between the guide bar and the guide plate to allow ease of motion. The two peripheral holes near each end of the guide plate are for golf tees to help align the device on the line of the chosen putt.
Abstract: A flashlight having a base portion and a face portion. A source of current in the base portion is connected to a light bulb in the face portion by a circuit containing a main switch and an auxiliary switch in series. The auxiliary switch includes a spring loaded plunger extending through the face portion and operative in response to the plunger being depressed when the face portion is placed on a solid surface.
Abstract: A remotely-adjustable, downhole fishing jar of the mechanical type is used within a well bore for freeing stuck pipe or tools. The jar, while downhole, can be set or reset by an operator at the surface for each firing stroke for any desired impact force within the capability of the finishing string to apply tension to the jar. A selected amount of tension to the fishing string is applied by the operator to set in a mechanical memory of the jar the desired impact force.
Abstract: A shield that may be slidably attached to a sun visor of a vehicle, and the shield when so attached capable of being longitudinally and transversely adjusted on the sun visor to serve as an extension thereof in blocking out sun rays to the occupant of a vehicle.
Abstract: A boathouse loading device for loading a boat out of a body of water and into a boathouse, using in part the motive power of the boat. The device includes a pivotable, slidable carriage for receiving the hull of a boat, outriggers for stabilizing the boat during its movement, a tensionable latching mechanism for initially inhibiting movement of the carriage and a winch for sliding the carriage and for tensioning the latching mechanism.
