Patent number: 6565425Abstract: A power belt sander (10) with a housing (11), which contains means for driving a sanding belt (24) which can be continuously guided by means of a drive roller (23), preferably also by means of a deflection roller (22), is less costly, lighter in weight, and more efficient due to the fact that the sanding belt (24) is supported by a toothed sanding belt (21), wherein the toothed sanding belt (21) is oriented with its toothed side (25) toward the drive roller (23), preferably the guide roller (22).Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2001Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventor: Steffen Wuensch

Patent number: 6271521Abstract: For optical determination of ingredients of a pourable product by NIR spectroscopy, to attain replicable measurement results, the device provides that the product flows in the direction of gravity; that a valve is disposed in the conduit downstream of the measurement window and a controller is embodied to move the valve to its closed position at least for the duration of measurement. The method is distinguished in that the product flows in the direction of gravity pas a measurement site; is dammed up downstream of the measurement site in such a way that the flow comes to rest at the measurement site; is dammed up in the direction of gravity past a measurement site; is dammed up downstream of the measurement site in such a way that the flow comes to rest at the measurement site; and after the measurement, the product is removed from the stagnant segment.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1998Date of Patent: August 7, 2001Assignee: Bran + Luebbe GmbHInventors: Joerg Saathoff, Eckhard Nehring, Hartmut Hoyer

Patent number: 6005962Abstract: A personal identification system for collating an article requiring personal identification with a person using the article has a personal identification data reader for reading the image of a characteristic portion of a human body capable of identifying a person such as his fingerprint and digitizing the image data. Moreover, the system has a label printer for printing the personal identification data on a label as two-dimensional data codes and the personal identification data printed on the label is read by a label data reader serving as a two-dimensional data code reader. The personal identification data read by the personal identification data reader and acceptance or rejection of the collation result is decided. These operation histories are recorded and preserved in a hard disk.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1996Date of Patent: December 21, 1999Assignee: Kawasumi Laboratories, Inc.Inventors: Atushi Hirota, Yukihiro Kawano, Takeo Juji, Kei Takahashi

Patent number: 5990649Abstract: In a control device for quick angle adjustment of a rearview mirror for a vehicle of the present invention, a reversible switch is connected in the forward direction only when an operational switch for quick angle adjustment is operated after a shift lever is displaced to a reverse gear position. This rotates a quick angle adjusting motor to tilt a mirror angle of the mirror assembly to a reverse position. The mirror angle does not change automatically to the reverse position when the reverse gear is selected merely to reverse a vehicle. Accordingly, change of the mirror angle against the driver's intention can be avoided. When a tilt angle of the mirror is at the reverse position, the reversible switch can be connected in the reverse direction by means of displacing the shift lever from the reverse gear position to any other position or by means of turning OFF the operational switch for quick angle adjustment, which enables the mirror to return to its normal position easily, positively and radically.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1998Date of Patent: November 23, 1999Assignee: Murakami CorporationInventors: Mitsuyoshi Nagao, Hiroshi Teramoto

Patent number: 5961276Abstract: The aggregate has a feed pump formed as a flow pump (10) comprising an impeller (12) rotating in a pump chamber (24) which has a peripheral rim of vanes (32) on respective opposite sides of the impeller which together with opposing side walls (26,28) bounding the pump chamber (24) form respective lateral feed ducts (44). The vanes (32) of the impeller (12) are connected with each other by an outer ring (36) at their outer radial ends. The outer ring (36) of the impeller (12) similarly has respective additional rims of additional vanes (101) on opposite sides thereof. Both additional vane rims are separated from each other by an annular separating member (102) placed between them in an axial direction. The additional vanes (101) are arranged in succession with equal spacing (e) in a rotation direction around the impeller and are shaped to optimize fluid flow.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1998Date of Patent: October 5, 1999Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Michael Huebel, Willi Strohl, Jochen Rose
