Abstract: A boat lift assembly comprises a winch, a cable wrapped around the winch and adapted to be attached to the platform, wherein rotation of the winch in a first direction urges the cable to wrap further around the winch, and rotation of the winch in a second direction urges the cable to unwrap around the winch, and a cable retainer comprising a first bracket and a second bracket. A gap separates the cable from the cable retainer when the cable is taut around the winch, and when the cable is slack the cable is restricted from movement away from the winch by the cable retainer.

Abstract: A rotary cutting tool comprises a rotary die cylinder having an axis of rotation, a pair of sides and a cylindrical surface, a die plate positioned around the cylindrical surface of the die cylinder and rigidly attached to the die cylinder at a first location, and an adjustable slide assembly operatively connecting the die plate to the die cylinder at a second location, and slidable with respect to the die cylinder between a retracted position and an extended position. The adjustable slide assembly is slidable along either a first direction around the axis of rotation of the die cylinder or a second direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the die cylinder. Adjustment of the adjustable slide assembly adjusts the position of the die plate with respect to the cylinder. The cylinder may be formed as a single piece assembly or as a first piece and a bar attached to the first piece. The bar can be machined to define in combination with the first piece the cylindrical surface.

Abstract: Apparatus for delivering a chilled beverage from a storage area to a beverage dispenser comprises a beverage conduit, a coolant source or reservoir, a coolant pump, a coolant conduit, an insulating sleeve encircling the conduits and supporting them in positions enabling heat transfer between such conduits, and a common support for the coolant and coolant pump. The common support is so constructed as to enable mounting of the coolant reservoir and pump in any selected one of a number of different locations.

Abstract: A machining center having a draw bar extending through a spindle with coolant positioned inside the draw bar for cooling a tool comprises a piston rod movable between an operating position and an extended position, a drive post rotatable about an axis of rotation, operatively connected to the draw bar, a coolant union comprising a non-rotatable portion and rotatable portion, wherein the drive post is attached to the rotatable portion such that the rotatable portion is rotatable with the drive post about the axis of rotation, and a bridge, wherein the drive post extends through the bridge to attach to the coolant union and the bridge permits rotation of the drive post but resists dislocation of the drive post from the axis of rotation. Movement of the piston rod from the operating position to the extended position moves the drive post and coolant union to an extended position.

Abstract: A wireless damper control device comprises a damper positioned in a flue, movable between a closed position where the flue is blocked and an open position, a damper controller which sends a damper signal which moves the damper between the open position and the closed position, and a fire side controller which transmits a fireplace signal to open a gas valve to initiate combustion when a fire is desired at a fireplace, and to close the gas valve to terminate combustion when a fire is no longer desired at the fireplace, and which receives a damper status signal from the damper controller indicating whether the damper is in the closed position or the open position.

Abstract: An interferon beta polypeptide comprising interferon-beta 1a coupled to a polymer containing a polyalkylene glycol moiety wherein the interferon-beta-1a and the polyalkylene glycol moiety are arranged such that the interferon-beta-1a has an enhanced activity relative to another therapeutic form of interferon beta (interferon-beta-1b) and exhibits no decrease in activity as compared to non-conjugated interferon-beta-1a. The conjugates of the invention are usefully employed in therapeutic as well as non-therapeutic, e.g., diagnostic, applications.
