  • Patent number: 8332400
Abstract: The current methods and system create a plurality of tree text history entries in the tree text history section within the context of the search terms by associating with a plurality of history data from a plurality of searches using a plurality of search terms in a hierarchical format and allow users to manage the plurality of tree text history entries created in the tree text history section. The plurality of tree text history entries created in the tree text history section include a title and optionally a search or sub-search term. The current methods and system allow managing history data comprising the steps of adding, filtering, modifying, deleting, sorting, pruning, prioritizing, importing, and/or exporting the tree text history entries created in the tree text history section depending on user preferences.

  • Patent number: 8313474
Abstract: An aqueous solution of polyacrylic acid is placed in a mold, frozen, and freeze-dried to form a sponge-like polyacrylic acid structure. The sponge-like polyacrylic acid structure is compressed by the application of heat and pressure to reduce the thickness and increase the density of the sponge-like polyacrylic acid structure to form a densified polyacrylic acid structure. The densified polyacrylic acid structure is preconditioned by heating to form a wound dressing. The wound dressing can be applied to control severe, life-threatening bleeding from a wound at a wound site of a person.

  • Patent number: 8127896
Abstract: A cantilever brake device is disclosed having a pair of opposing brake arm assemblies with cable tension or the traction point at the distal end of the body members at the bottom trunk portions rather than at the upper level by the adjustable arm members. By moving the cable tension and traction point to the bottom level of the body members, the brakes are applied more evenly and uniformly against and onto the rim surface for greater braking power and mechanical advantage. The cantilever brake device is also disclosed having a shoe housing member that is easily adjustable on a y-axis for height adjustment of the brake shoes since the brake shoes are each mounted on the shoe housing member and allows uniform adjustment of both shoe housing members holding the brake shoes.

  • Patent number: 8070633
Abstract: An eccentric bottom bracket assembly having a body member, at least two wing members, a wedge driver with two wedge members, and at least one spring member altogether forming a tubular, cylindrical assembly to fit within the inner shell of the bottom bracket area of the bicycle frame for adjusting the chain length or tension. The assembly is preferably used for the front and rear bottom brackets of a tandem bicycle for adjusting the chain that is connected to the front and rear driving sprockets. The assembly is also alternatively used in single-rider bicycles and other bicycles with the need for adjusting chain tension. The assembly allows for the wing members and the body member to circumferentially and outwardly expand or inwardly retract by co-acting with the rotation of the wedge driver which laterally displaces the wedge members in a parallel direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the body member.

  • Patent number: 7753207
Abstract: A light-weight capsule having internal components comprised of sample containers with living organisms in solid and liquid form, inner carrier, multiple seals is disclosed to protect the samples contained within and to withstand an impact of up to 4000 G in outer space or Earth applications being subject to extreme conditions of varying radiation, temperature, pressure, and shock. The present capsule provides a compact and durable design with features for reducing size, mass and weight while increasing strength, structural integrity, and sealing strength to protect the samples contained interiorly and to withstand extreme conditions for travel in deep space or inhospitable places on Earth.

  • Patent number: 7665875
Abstract: An articulating dental operatory light having an electrically powered light source and a mounting assembly with at least a ball and socket joint, and optionally an additional joint, for multi-axial and multi-directional positioning and adjusting of the lamp head assembly, and a rotational stop for preventing damage to electrical wires passing through the joints. The rotational stop comprises a keyed shaft containing the electrical wires, that cooperates with the ball portion of the joint, and a first stop member connected to a remote end of the keyed shaft that interferes with a second stop member, thereby preventing a full 360 degree rotation of the ball portion relative to the socket member of the joint and minimizing twisting damage to the electrical wires.

  • Patent number: 7150623
Abstract: The present invention provides a process and apparatus for preserving the potency of a tableted heat sensitive ingredient. The process includes the steps of forming the ingredient into a tablet and cooling the tablet for a sufficient time and at a sufficiently low temperature to decrease the heat degradation of the ingredient. The process may be carried out in any number of tablet cooling apparatus, including a conduit forming a passageway for receiving tablets from the tablet press. A coolant inlet is connected to the conduit for supplying coolant into the passageway and into contact with the tablets.

  • Patent number: 7137534
Abstract: A liquid soap container comprising of a dispensing pump which incorporates a pressurised air freshener canister or a liquid air freshener container. When a dispensing pump is depressed it also activates the valve of a pressurised air freshener canister or a pump for a liquid air freshener container to refresh the air whilst at the same time dispensing the liquid or gel soap. After the action of depressing the pump has stopped the release of the air freshener also stops. Both systems work simultaneously. An air vent casing helps secure the air freshener canister or the liquid air freshener container, and also temporarily contains the released air freshener before it vaporises or evaporates in to the atmosphere.
