  • Patent number: 8205932
Abstract: An air foil structure attachable to a semi-trailer of a tractor-trailer rig is herein disclosed, intended to produce various aerodynamic affects such as reducing turbulence, creating lift, and creating down force. The air foil apparatus is mounted to a trailer chassis and extends upwardly to a height approximately that of the cab portion of the tractor. The air foil apparatus comprises a stationary pedestal structure having a pair of attached vertical hydraulic cylinders which connect to the air foil wing portion. The hydraulic cylinders enable height adjustment of the air foil wing by an operator during transit via a remote controller within the cab area. The angle of the wing may be manually adjusted and secured in position via pivoting trunnion mounts. The current height of the air foil wing is displayed upon the remote controller allowing an operator to effectively lower the air foil wing during transit when approaching height-restricting objects.

  • Patent number: 8196881
Abstract: A system designed to retain a countertop cut-out portion is herein disclosed. A plurality of retainers are intended to be installed at selected locations within initial saw cuts to prevent the cut-out portion from falling and causing damage or injury following the subsequent final saw cuts. The system is intended to be inserted into the saw cut in a longitudinal orientation and rotated into a transversal orientation thereby causing the foot to engage and support the bottom edge of the portion to be removed. Wedge shaped shims are used to compensate for countertop depth variations and to secure the location of the systems. Upon completion of the sawing process, the system allows the cut-out portion to be removed in a safe and controlled manner. • Patent number: 8196615
Abstract: A device and method of using a liquid/air pressure testing tool to assist in testing and repairing liquid-filled agricultural tires is herein disclosed. The device provides a valving arrangement to allow alternating fluid transfer and air backfilling of a fluid-filled agricultural tire. The device utilizes quick-disconnect fittings providing quick in-line installation therebetween a fluid pump and a fluid filled tire. The device provides an inline ball valve and an isolation valve, thereby providing isolation of a pumping source and an air back-filling means, respectively. During fluid filling of a tire, the isolation valve allows monitoring of internal tire pressure using a common pressure gauge without removing the device or disconnecting any attached hoses. The device thus eliminates repeated steps when testing or repairing large fluid-filled tires as used on farm tractors and other agricultural machinery.
