Abstract: A line retrieval system comprises a line retriever adapted to magnetically couple to an object disposed within an enclosure through a wall of the enclosure such that the magnetic couple supports the line retriever adjacent the wall of the enclosure. The line retriever is adapted for movement relative to the enclosure in response to movement of the object within the enclosure toward an opening formed in the enclosure.

Abstract: A sensor for detecting and signaling whether a requested product is successfully vended is placed in a vending machine. The sensor determines whether a requested product passes through a defined “vend area” within a predetermined time interval after the customer's request for the product. If the product does pass through the vend area within the time interval, a successful transaction is signaled and the sensor is reset. However, if no signal is received within the time interval, a procedure to remedy the failed transaction is executed. This procedure includes refunding the customer's money, crediting the customer's next transaction, or vending a similar product.

Abstract: A cover for the opening of a process tube of a furnace used in semiconductor manufacturing is comprised of a substantially continuous sheet of metal so that it may be rolled opened and closed while being against the opening of the process tube by a guide frame. The roller on which the cover is rolled is driven by a bidirectional DC motor. The process tube cover can be operated by a computer or controller that operates the furnace.

Abstract: A freestanding portable lamp package for product display that can be placed on a store shelf or the like. The package is freestanding and protects the product contained therein from damage during shipment and display and prevents the need for an individual to remove the product from such packaging and disturb the contents within, while displaying the product to the public. The package utilizes a minimum of packaging materials. The package features a handle on the back side to make it easy for the customer to carry the product and package.
