Patent number: 8307462Abstract: A bath towel bib including a collar adapted to form a releasably securable loop around a user's neck, an actuatable means for releasing the loop from around the user's neck, and an absorbent cloth fixedly attached to the collar and operatively arranged to hang from the collar in front of the user's torso when the loop is releasably secured around the user's neck, wherein the actuatable means for releasing the loop from around the user's neck is operatively arranged to actuate when the absorbent cloth is pulled in a direction away from the user's neck. The bath towel bib is particularly adapted for use while bathing a pet, in a system for bathing a pet including the bath towel bib, a bathing receptacle, and a bath mat. The bath towel bib is arranged to receive a pet from a bath, while allowing the bather to keep her hands free.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2009Date of Patent: November 13, 2012Inventor: Mary S. Patent number: 8075176Abstract: A method using a mixer for disbursing an additive in a tube of compound. The mixer includes a rigid cylinder and a plunger assembly. The cylinder is configured for receiving an opened tube of compound, to which additive has been introduced. The plunger assembly includes a shaft, on which a cap is slidably and rotatably mounted. A mixer blade is mounted on a first end of the shaft and a second end of the shaft is provided with a handle. The cap is provided with a pair of cutouts designed for receiving a pair of studs mounted on the outside surface of the cylinder, such that the cap may be fitted on the cylinder and turned to engage the studs with the cutouts and connect the cap and the cylinder. The handle may be rotated and reciprocated to move the mixer blade through the contents of the tube for mixing.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2011Date of Patent: December 13, 2011Inventor: Luis Cordero

Patent number: 7824906Abstract: The present invention is an anaerobic reactor and preferably a vertically oriented plug flow anaerobic reactor for producing methane from various organic materials. The organic materials preferably have a high organic content. The reactor includes cutting members for cutting bridged or agglomerated material within the reactor. The present invention also includes a process for producing methane from an organic feed stock by continuously charging an organic material into the top portion of a vertically oriented vessel and rotating one or more cutting members at a sufficiently slow rate so that the cutting members cut through bridged or agglomerated material but do not substantially mix contents within the reactor, anaerobically digesting the organic material under mesophilic or thermophilic conditions to produce methane while allowing the organic material to propagate downward through the vessel in a plug flow-like manner and collecting methane gas produced from the anaerobic digestion of the organic material.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2007Date of Patent: November 2, 2010Assignee: ARCADIS U.S., Inc.Inventors: Scott Murphy, Jon Forbort, Evan Nyer, Matt Shattuck, Wes May

Patent number: 6696511Abstract: A non-stick polymer coated aluminum foil and method of making it. The polymer coating composition comprises a silicone resin, a silicone release agent, a silicone curing agent, a hindered phenol antioxidant and a solvent. The method of making the non-stick polymer coated aluminum foil includes applying the polymer coating composition on at least a portion of one side of the aluminum foil and partially curing the coating composition to allow handling and future processing of the coated aluminum foil without blocking of the coating composition. The curing of the coating composition is completed by heating the coated aluminum foil in bulk.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2002Date of Patent: February 24, 2004Assignee: Reynolds Metals CompanyInventor: Bruce Robbins
