  • Patent number: 7312595
Abstract: Presence/absence of a failure in a feedback control system of a motor is monitored. When a failure is detected in the feedback control system, the motor is driven by switching to an open-loop control. During the open-loop control, the motor is rotated by sequentially switching the motor current supply phase without feeding back encoder count information. The position count is incremented or decremented every time the current supply phase is switched. When the position count has reached a target count, it is determined that the rotor has reached a target position, whereupon the open-loop control is finished.

  • Patent number: 6968872
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for recovering liquid chemical products, in which the residual liquid chemical products remaining in respective handling devices in a chemical production facility can be efficiently and safely recovered therefrom without leakage thereof out of the system. In the process for recovering liquid chemical products in a chemical production facility according to the present invention, the chemical products are withdrawn from the handling devices through bottom discharge pipes (14), (15), (16) and (17) thereof, directly collected by the gravity thereof into a common inclined collection pipe (13) located at a position lower than the bottom discharge pipes and connected to the bottom discharge pipes, and then delivered by the gravity thereof through the inclined collection pipe (13) to a recovery tank (1) located at a position lower than the inclined collection pipe and connected to a lower end of the inclined collection pipe.

  • Patent number: 6241610
Abstract: A video game system includes a game cartridge which is pluggably attached to a main console having a main processor, a coprocessor, and player controllers. A multifunctional peripheral processing subsystem external to the game microprocessor and coprocessor is described which executes commands for handling player controller input/output to thereby lessen the processing burden on the graphics processing subsystem. A player controlled character may be controlled in a multitude of different ways utilizing the combination of the joystick and/or cross-switch and/or control keys. The controlled character's pace may be varied between walking by slight controller joystick movement or running through a greater angular displacement of the joystick, while at the same time controlling the direction of the character's movement over 360 degrees in the three-dimensional world.
