  • Patent number: 6735900
Abstract: The invention relates to a bait station for rodents, in particular for rats, with a box, entry and exit holes in the vicinity of the box floor and run areas extending in the box between the latter for rodents. The aim is to construct such a bait station such that when in the ready position the run areas for the rodents in the box are accepted more quickly and less timidly. For this purpose when the bait station is in the ready position the zones of the box floor of the bait station corresponding to the run areas are left open and the run areas for the rodents run in the box of the bait station on the floor of the surroundings of the area of use of the bait station.

  • Patent number: 6701778
Abstract: A test apparatus and method for predicting the minimum runnable flow of a curtain coating fluid by forcing the coating fluid out of a small round tube opening with less flow rate than is required for momentum to exceed the contracting forces of surface tension. The minimum flow rate is a measure of the combined effects of the surface tension, viscosity, elasticity, and dilitant behavior of the coating fluid which influence the stretch and acceleration of the fluid, that in turn, characterize the runnability of the fluid for a full scale curtain coating process. The velocity of the coating as it lands can also be determined from the flow rate and acceleration to predict whether the coating fluid will run or not before it is applied to a web or substrate.

  • Patent number: 6682691
Abstract: A method for consolidating blocks of natural stone or recomposed material includes placing the block on a platform over a liquid and gas impermeable base sheet with spacers. Liquid and gas impermeable lateral sheets with spacers are glued to the side walls and extend beyond the top of the block. The block is inserted into an autoclave and a vacuum is applied. A fluid resin is dripped on the top of the block to cover it and to flow into the interstices between the block and the sheets. The vacuum is removed from the autoclave so that the resin penetrates into fractures and cavities in the block and the resin is allowed or induced to harden.

  • Patent number: 6109914
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas recirculating furnace which aims to enable generation of a high-temperature strong recirculating current and comprises heat sources 3A and 3B for heating a recirculating gas outside the furnace and an out-of-furnace circulating path 4 for taking combustion gas in the inner space of the furnace 18 to the outside of the furnace and flowing it back to the inside of the furnace 18 from a different position.

  • Patent number: 5962791
Abstract: In order to cover a large measuring range extending from about 10.sup.-6 mbar to about 10 bar, a simple, compact and economically producible pressure sensor (3) arranged in a protective tube (1) has, on a support plate (5), a ceramic membrane (6) which, together with the support plate (5), forms a capacitive measuring element for the determination of pressures between about 0.1 mbar and 10 bar, and two measuring wires (11, 12) which are arranged adjacent to the membrane (6) and constitute a Pirani measuring element with substantial compensation of the effect of the wall temperature, for the determination of pressures between about 10.sup.-6 mbar and 1 mbar. The membrane (6) is shielded from the radiation of the measuring wires (11, 12) by a protective ring (16).

  • Patent number: 5947714
Abstract: A burner for gaseous fuels or gas plus liquid fuel mixtures includes flame bores distributed across a burner surface. At least some of the bores are arranged in the form of nearly equilateral triangles with a ratio of spacing of the bores with respect to one another, to the bore diameter, being in the range of 2 to 4.
