  • Patent number: 8261715
Abstract: Internal combustion engine has intake with compression in piston/cylinders and combustion and exhaust in a turbine. Turbine assembly includes a rotor connected to an output shaft and has variable blades pivotally mounted to rotor. The output shaft is connected to a crankshaft that is connects to the pistons to synchronizes intake and compression with combustion and exhaust. While the rotor spins centrifugal force causes the blades to swivel outwardly. The blades swivel inboard of the rotor as the space between them and the turbine housing cam contour gradually decreases. After partial compression, air enters the turbine assembly's combustion and exhaust chamber. Once full compression is attained, combustion takes place initiating a power cycle causing the turbine to rotate. When the power cycle is completed, the inner cam contour forces the blades inboard and exhaust is cleared by the subsequent variable blade, facilitating the next combustion and exhaust cycle.

  • Patent number: 8261588
Abstract: Cylinder lock and key with a rotatable plug in a cylindrical housing has radial slots each with two tumblers spring biased in the same direction and provided with side extensions for engaging a supporting spring. The side extensions are oriented opposite each other, and in certain slots the tumblers are spring biased in one direction and in other slots the tumblers are spring biased in another direction. The tumblers have cord projections protruding into a key channel and engaging control paths. The tumblers in series in odd slots are spring biased in one direction and tumblers in even slots are spring biased in the opposite direction, whereby their cord projections protrude in a direction orthogonal to sliding motion of the tumblers so that the cord projections are in each slot, substantially against each other and their lateral control edges adjacent the side projections cooperate with the control paths formed on the adjacent side walls of the control grooves in the key.

  • Patent number: 8241402
Abstract: A method of separation of hydrogen from gas mixtures consisting in that a gas mixture (3) with any hydrogen content is introduced into a closed space (4), in which a polymer foam (1) containing non-communicating pores (2) is placed. Due to the fact that the hydrogen partial pressure in pores (2) of the polymer foam (1) is lower, hydrogen penetrates into the pores. Hence, the gas mixture (3) leaving the closed space (4) is deficient in the hydrogen. The inlet of the gas mixture (3) into the closed space (4) can be interrupted at the time when the leaving mixture has the same composition as the introduced gas mixture (3) or earlier. Then the pressure in the closed space (4) is decreased and, due to the leveling of its partial pressure, hydrogen is released from the polymer foam (1) and can be received for further use. Its concentration is higher than in the starting gas mixture (3).
