Abstract: A support for thin plastic plant identifiers is configured with a ground engaging stake portion integrally formed with an elevating portion. Integrally formed with the elevating portion and canted rearwardly about 45° is a retainer portion with two parallel engagement channels configured to receive the edges of an identifier. A transverse slot in the retainer portion slidably receives a tail of the plastic identifier.
Abstract: A weight lifting power cage for use by a weight lifter includes a floor frame assembly including a pair of side floor frames, a front lateral floor frame member, and a rear lateral floor member. A carriage is carried by the side floor frames and is movable simultaneously vertically and front to back. The carriage retains a weight bar mount for retaining a weight bar spanning between each side frame. The weight bar is movable by the carriage vertically and front to back. The movable carriage also carries a pair of vertical weight rack bars. An engagement mechanism enables the weight lifter to rack the weight bar from a weight lifting position without stepping forward or backward.
Abstract: A hand-operable device of mounting an anchoring pin and inserting the pin into the ground includes a hand-graspable elongate handle having an upper under and a lower end and a magnetic puck assembly fixed to the handle lower end for picking up an anchoring pin and maintaining in an insertion position until the pin is inserted into the ground.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for effective venting of a condenser of the type having an air removal section, wherein improved is reducing dissolved oxygen or other gases content in the condensate, reducing condensate and feed water side corrosion, reducing excess condenser pressure in the condenser, and/or improving the condenser heat transfer coefficient by eliminating or reducing zones that promote subcooling selected from an air bound or a stagnant zone. The method includes replacing one or more of water filled tubes within the air bound zone or the stagnant zone with one or more vent tubes in connection with a source for venting air or other gas from the air bound zone or the stagnant zone or recognizing the ineffectiveness of an ARS in the air bound zone and providing one or more vent tubes in connection with a source for venting said air bound zone or the stagnant zone.

Abstract: A hemostatic surgical blade is described which is formed of five symmetrically disposed layers. A martensitic stainless steel core is provided with oppositely disposed faces which are bonded to hard pure copper thermal transfer layers which, in turn, are supported by buttressing layers of austenitic stainless steel. The blade is heated by a blade heater circuit which is provided as a flexible circuit carrying one or more resistor heaters and associated leads supported by a polyimide substrate. A thermally conductive and electrically insulative adhesive is used to bond the flexible circuit to a blade blank. The system employs a multi-lead cable which is removable from an instrument handle. One blade embodiment involves an elongate stem for accessing body cavities and another embodiment incorporates a controller function within an instrument handle.
