Abstract: A conveyor system having an intermediate roller conveyor section which is shiftable as a unit between an upper operative position and a lower inoperative position. An overhead conveyor extends transversely relative to the intermediate roller conveyor section and includes a plurality of carriers positionable over the intermediate roller conveyor section for receiving a part when the conveyor section is in its lowered or inoperative position.
Abstract: A split ring pipe spacer used to separate a pipe from the fitting shoulder during welding. The spacer has yieldable protrusions for the purpose of maintaining proper spacing and alignment of the pipe and fitting during welding.
Abstract: A metal detector search head which includes a transmitter wire coil and a receiver wire coil each having first and second coil sections. The first coil sections of the receiver and transmitter coils lie in substantially the same plane with the second coil sections thereof being parallel and displaced relative to the first coil sections with each second coil section lying in a plane generally perpendicularly oriented to the plane of location of the first coil sections of the transmitter and receiver coils.
Abstract: A regulator for controlling the liquid level in a liquid supply system having a discharge part located at an elevation higher than the elevation of the regulator. The regulator is characterized by a housing spanned by a diaphragm to define two chambers including a liquid chamber with which the intake and outlet of the regulator are connected and within which is located a lever mounting at one end a valve for sealing said intake in one position of the lever and connected at its opposite end to said diaphragm to be pivoted by the diaphragm. The other chamber of the housing receives a spring for urging said diaphragm to valve-opening position. An adjusting member projects from and is manually accessible externally of said housing and is actuable to vary the pressure exerted against said diaphragm by said spring.
Abstract: A method for registering and aligning a steel rule die and counterplate. The die and counterplate each have registration holes into which a semi-permanent pin is inserted to hold the die and counterplate in alignment during positioning within a reciprocating cutter.
Abstract: An inflatable bag splint with straps which inhibits the bending of a joint. The bag is airtight with an inlet valve and the straps are situated so as to be placed about an arm or leg to prevent movement thereof.
Abstract: A trimaran type boat having center, port, and starboard elongated floats which are hinged together at corresponding juxtaposed side edges to enable the port and starboard floats to be pivoted between an operatable position in which the floats are transversely oriented to accommodate flotation of the boat and a collapsed position in which the port and starboard floats are folded into the center float to reduce the overall width of the boat without appreciably increasing the height so as to facilitate its storage and transport.
Abstract: An oil level indicator for use on a motor vehicle having a tube open at the vehicle oil pan. An elongated stiff oil gauging wire is slidably mounted in the tube. The wire carries a float at its lower end and extends at its upper end into a stationary housing mounted on the vehicle. The housing pivotally mounts a lever connected to a stiff wire and to the slidable contactor of a variable resistance member in the housing. The variable resistance member is connected to a battery and to a guage mounted at the dashboard of the motor vehicle to indicate the oil level in the oil pan.
Abstract: A hatch for attachment to a wall. The hatch includes a base and a cover and has interlocking pegs and grooves for securing the cover to the base.
Abstract: A sound reproduction system having a housing with a lateral slot in the front wall thereof, one or more sound reproducing speakers located below the slot, and a plurality of resonance chambers located between the speakers forming bass, treble and mid-range sections.
Abstract: A combination cooker for popcorn, pizza, shish kebabs, and deep frying which includes a base having a heating element therein supporting a bowl-shaped body. Either a tray or shaft-carried basket is supported by the upper rim of the bowl-shaped body of the cooker over the heating element in the base.
Abstract: A door frame which is for mounting pre-hung doors in door openings of an existing structure and which includes an extruded metal door frame, a wooden frame for support of the extruded metal frame, fasteners which attach the wooden support frame to the extruded metal door frame and are used for attaching the metal frame at a door opening, and a molded cover which is secured to the extruded metal frame and conceals the fasteners attaching the metal frame to the door opening.
Abstract: A thermal protection circuit for the die of a transistor having a heat sink in which a signal proportional to the dissipative input current and a signal proportional to the dissipative applied voltage of the transistor are multiplied to produce a signal representative of the applied power to the transistor. This representative applied power signal is transformed into a simulated differential in temperature between the die of the transistor and its heat sink. Simultaneously, the temperature of the heat sink is determined and this temperature is added to the simulated differential in temperature between the die of the transistor and the heat sink to determine a sensed die temperature. A control responsive to this sensed die temperature reduces the applied power to the transistor.
Abstract: A slitter having multiple spaced pairs of arbors carried upon a rotatable housing which is shiftable as a unit toward and away from a second housing which is adapted to support a selected pair of such arbors during the slitting operation.

Abstract: A lighting facility which includes spaced parallel end plates having a light assembly extending therebetween. A flexible cover extends between and is supported by the end plates so as to be rotatable entirely about the light assembly.
Abstract: In a filter for liquids including a housing which suspends multiple filtering elements and a cover. A grid is carried by the lower peripheral edge of the cover which overlies and holds the filtering elements in place when the cover is in sealing contact with the filter housing.
Abstract: A recording device for computing Nassau scoring in golf. The device consists of a series of relatively rotatable score computer discs, one of which has holes receiving rotatable buttons for selective operation to compute special bets.
