  • Patent number: 7796162
Abstract: A method and system for transmitting and displaying venue-based synchronized camera views for live venue activities to remote views. A synchronized camera can include a main camera and at least one slave camera, wherein slave camera movement depends on movement by the main camera. Views captured by a slave camera can be of the same general target as those captured by the main camera. Remote viewers can be venue-based hand held devices or distant monitors. Remote viewers can include hand held devices and digital entertainment monitors (e.g., HDTV). Within a venue, the camera views can be processed and formatted for display on display screens associated with venue-based hand held device. A user can select from more than one view from the synchronized camera that the user wants displayed on the remote viewer, thereby enabling a user of the hand held device to view more than one camera view, at a time or simultaneously, through the remote viewer.

  • Patent number: 7787810
Abstract: A color registration method, system, and computer program product generally includes a plurality of imaging stations and one or more MOB (Marks-On Belt) sensors. An indication is initially provided to each imaging station among the imaging stations, which colors among a plurality of colors associated with said color registration system are active. Next, an arbitrary imaging station among the imaging stations can be assigned as a reference color. Thereafter, the arbitrary imaging station can be instructed to write an appropriate color pattern to replace marks associated with any imaging among imaging stations not enabled with the marks with respect to said reference color in order to thereby produce a resulting color ensemble that is detectable by one or more MOB sensors.

  • Patent number: 7760399
Abstract: A method and system for encoding a color image into a monochrome halftoned image for printing, includes the use of a decoding mechanism to recover color information from the monochrome halftone image. A luminance channel associated with the color image can be utilized as the grayscale input to a half-toning process, while chrominance channels are utilized to determine displacements of the halftone dots. The color information can then be restored utilizing a template to measure the displacements of the halftone dots and hence the color information. Thus, the color information can be preserved without visual impact.

  • Patent number: 7683793
Abstract: An adaptive evacuation system and method for providing a safety route to evacuees. Active smoke and heat detector information can be obtained from a fire panel. Routes and exits in proximity to the active detectors are assumed to be unsafe and closed for use in evacuation. Evacuation planning is accomplished with the remaining “safe” routes. The progression of fire and smoke and the time-dependent degradation of evacuation route safety associated with progression of fire and smoke can be predicted and initial classification and signaling of route safety can be performed. As the fire progresses, the initial time-dependent classifications are updated and initially safe routes are reclassified as unsafe and then evacuation directions are modified.

  • Patent number: 7644636
Abstract: A load pin brake cell apparatus includes a load pin element that can be machined with a pair of external grooves in order to create independent load locations. A sleeve can be installed over the load pin element and can be welded at each edge of the grooves to relocate the pair of grooves to interior of the load pin element. The sleeve and the load pin act as one homogenous component to ensure a predictable and total transfer of stress and strain to a strain gauge located within the load pin. The ratio of a cross-sectional area between the sleeve and the load pin can be kept to a minimum in order to minimize the non-linearity due to bending stresses. The sleeve wall preferably possesses a sufficient thickness to prevent yielding at the grooves.

  • Patent number: 7643678
Abstract: Xerographic machines can print documents that have unintentional streaking parallel to the process direction. There are many possible source of the streaking. Currently, the streaking is minimized by using a cross process direction dependent modulation, called a profile, to modulate a modulated light beam being scanned across the photoreceptor. The profile is purely a function of cross process direction position. The profile can minimize, and often eliminate, streaking for any one area coverage, but only for that one area coverage. Different profiles can be produced that work best for different area coverages. Choosing a profile from a group of profiles for use with each scan line can minimize parallel streaking for a wider range of area coverages.
