  • Patent number: 8307438
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for conditionally performing a scan of data based nit an associated data structure. In use, at least one aspect is identified for each of a first plurality of scanners utilized to perform a scan on data at a first network device. Additionally, at least one data structure is associated with the data, where the at least one data structure reflects the at least one aspect of each of the first plurality of scanners. Furthermore, a subsequent scan on the data is conditionally performed utilizing, each of a second plurality of scanners at a second network device, based on the at least one data structure.

  • Patent number: 8271794
Abstract: Objects can be extracted from data flows captured by a capture device. Each captured object can then be classified according to content. Meta-data about captured objects can be stored in a tag. In one embodiment, the present invention includes receiving a request to present a previously captured object to a user, accessing a tag associated with the requested object, the tag containing metadata related to the object, the metadata including an object signature, and verifying that the object has not been altered since capture using the object signature before presenting the object to the user.

  • Patent number: 8112262
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein can be used to provide virtual service environments. In one embodiment, a virtual service model is generated by detecting one or more transactions, each of which includes a request sent from a requester to a software service and a response sent from the software service to the requester; storing information describing the detected transactions in a virtual service model, where the information describing each transaction includes information identifying a command included in the request and information identifying a response attribute included in the response; and generating information describing an unknown transaction, where the information describing the unknown transaction includes information identifying a first command and information identifying a first response attribute. The first command and the first response attribute are copies of a corresponding command and a corresponding response attribute associated with a corresponding one of the detected transactions.
