Abstract: A reference chart apparatus for determining cutting angles of molding strips provides a tape housing containing a pair of tape coils. The top and bottom surfaces of the tape coils are imprinted with cutting guide charts providing miter angle and blade tilt cutting data for corner angles between zero and at least 180°. In addition, the housing defines three angled cutouts measuring 52°, 45°, and 38° respectively, for determining the slope angle of a given piece of molding. Each one of the cutouts is preferably colored with a unique reference color corresponding to an appropriate cutting guide chart sharing the same reference color. A housing clamp is also provided for removably engaging the housing, allowing the housing to be stored and used in a readily accessible area, such as on a miter saw.
Abstract: A post has a rectangular cross-sectional shape and mounted on one end of the post is a protective sleeve. The sleeve provides a cylindrical sidewall within which one end of the post is engaged. A bottom cap closes the end of the sidewall sealing the end of the post. A rectangular elastomeric seal is engaged with the sidewall peripheral to the post. A pair of L-shaped moldings are mounted exterior to the elastomeric seal providing engagement within a groove of the elastomeric seal and exerting a sealing force against the elastomeric seal and the post.
Abstract: A fabric insulating material is configured for enclosing a hot water heater, and uses strips of insulating material to establish dead air spaced between the fabric and the surfaces of the hot water heater. The dead air spaces function as high efficiency insulators. The fabric is flexible enough to be folded for storage and shipping and is easily applied to common heater units.
Abstract: A cylindrical tube of extendable length, the tube having open ends. A first, second and third transverse flanges fastened at one or both of the opposing ends of the tube. The first flange is integral with the tube and sandwiched between the second and the third flanges. A ring is coextensive with the first flange and covers part of the open end of the tube. A heat expansive material is placed within the tube for expansion during fire to cover spaces between utility conduits and the inside wall of the tube.
Abstract: A theft-deterring merchandise dispensing apparatus has a chassis configured to provide limited access to an interior space housing merchandise in a secure manner. A knob is secured to a front panel of the chassis. The knob is secured to one end of an elongate wire coil, the knob and coil rotational about a common axis. An elongate cantilevered rod is mounted on a rear panel of the chassis and extensive therefrom within the coil, the rod terminating at a free end in proximity to the front panel. Units of merchandise are slidingly secured on the rod and positioned between windings of the coil so that rotation of the coil by the knob moves the packages along the rod to exit proximate the front panel. A noise-maker creates a noise when the knob is rotated to alert store personnel that products are being dispensed.

Abstract: A mounting structure for attaching an item in an area defined by an area wall is disclosed including an elongated track including a channel formed therein, the elongated track having at least one elongated channel wall and at least one elongated track flange adapted to be connected to the area wall, and a movable element movable to a selected position within the elongated channel and including at least one element flange for wedging engagement against the at least one elongated channel wall at the selected position.
Abstract: A three wheeled vehicle (1) has a front section (10) having a front frame (105), a directionally controllable front wheel (101) and a steering column (104) with a handlebar (1040). A rear section (11) has a rear frame (107) and two rear wheels (102,103). The front section (10) of the vehicle is pivotable about a pivot axis (111) located intermediate the two rear wheels (102,103). The pivot axis (111) includes a pivot bar (401) and a pivot bar housing (402) in communication with a transmission mechanism having a first and second gear pairs (2) (3). The transmission mechanism is releasably connected to the steering column (104) and is capable of pivoting the first section (10) about the pivot axis (111) towards the center-of-curvature of a turn in accordance with the angle of the front wheel (101), thus providing greater stability for the vehicle (1) during a turn.
Abstract: A multifunctional regulator provides a housing having an inlet passage joined with an outlet passage through a poppet valve. The housing has a control diaphragm separating the control chamber into a first volume and a second volume and depending on the differential pressure between the two volumes, the diaphragm will push open the poppet valve. Pressurizing and depressurizing valves join the first volume with the inlet and outlet passages, whereby, with an inlet pressure level within the inlet passage greater than an outlet pressure level within the outlet passage, and with the pressurizing valve admitting the inlet pressure level to the first volume, the diaphragm is displaced into the second volume thereby forcing the poppet valve to open and thereby raising the outlet pressure toward the inlet pressure with fluid flow from the inlet to outlet passages.
Abstract: A traffic control device is made up of a round lower tube of a rigid material, a round adapter tube of a flexible material, and a round upper tube of a rigid material. An upper portion of the upper tube provides a motorist recognizable indicia. A lower portion of the adapter tube is inserted axially within the lower tube and secured by mutually engaging portions of the tubes. An upper portion of the adapter tube is joined with the upper tube by mutually engaging fasteners. An upper end of the lower tube is spaced apart from a lower end of the upper tube by between one and five inches to allow for the adapter tube to bend by 90 angular degrees.
Abstract: A traffic cone apparatus for controlling traffic has a molded base and a molded cone. The base is compression molded of bits of shredded tires into a preferably rectangular shape. The cone is co-injection molded with the base so as to engage the base with connector elements gripping apertures in the base.
Abstract: A marine drive is engaged with and is driven by a vessel's engine drive shaft. The drive includes: a universal joint secured to the vessel's hull; a first screw shaft supporting a first screw; a first gear set driven by the first screw shaft; a second screw shaft driven by the first gear set; a second gear set driven by the second screw shaft; a third screw shaft driven by the second gear set and supporting a second screw; and a third screw supported by the second screw shaft at its terminal end. The first and second gear sets are enclosed within a water-tight enclosure enabling rotational speed differentiation between the first and second screw shafts and enabling rotational sense reversal between the second and third screw shafts. An actuator provides changes in angle of attack of the second and third screws.
Abstract: A shoe provides a gear assembly mounted within a heel portion, the gear assembly providing an actuator gear communicating with a plurality of drive gears. Threaded couplings are fixedly engaged with a sole portion and a plurality of spikes are threadedly engaged with the couplings. Drive shafts, transfer rotation from the drive gears to the spikes. An actuator gear is manually rotated for extending, and retracting the spikes.
Abstract: An exhaust flue support apparatus has an elongate flue mounting plate incorporating at least one longitudinal strengthening bead. The mounting plate engages, by break-off tabs, a securing strap, a flange plate, and a centering plate. The mounting plate, securing strap, flange plate and centering plate are made from a single piece of sheet metal.
Abstract: A combination apparatus comprises stirrup leathers engaged with a pair of stirrups, each of the stirrups providing a support bar; a pair of spaced apart stirrup sides; and a linear foot rest. The foot rest and the support bar are fastened between the stirrup sides with the foot rest and support bar spaced apart for admitting a riding boot resting on the foot rest. The support bar provides a symmetrically positioned longitudinal axis oriented in parallel with the foot rest. The support bar is configured with a diminishing thickness between its ends. The diminishing thickness of the support bars is of such magnitude as to position the foot rests in a horizontal attitude when the apparatus is mounted on a horse and the stirrups are engaged by the boots of a rider.
