Abstract: A method of pressure bonding a bumped electronic part using: a tilting mechanism which tiltably supports a suction tool for sucking a bumped electronic part; and locking means for inhibiting a tilting operation of the tilting mechanism. The method includes: a suction step of sucking the bumped electronic part to the suction tool; a step of detecting the position of the bumped electronic part which is sucked to the suction tool, and positioning the bumped electronic part with respect to a substrate, under a state where the tilting operation is inhibited; and a pressure bonding step of pressure bonding bumps of the bumped electronic part which is sucked to the suction tool, to the substrate under a state where the tilting operation is enabled. According to this arrangement, the tilting mechanism is not accidentally swung during the positioning operation, and hence the mounting accuracy is prevented from being impaired.

Abstract: A high energy loss fluid control device includes a plurality of annularly-shaped discs stacked one upon another and a reciprocal plug in slidable contact with the discs. Each of the discs has an inner periphery, an outer periphery, and a plurality of flow passageways extending between an inlet and an outlet located at the inner and outer peripheries. Each of the flow passageways have a plurality of sections connected with right-angle turns. The sections alternate between extending in a circumferential direction and a radial direction. Each passageway has an expanding cross-sectional area but each section has a constant cross-sectional area. A first one of the sections is radially extending toward the inlet to cause fluid to act upon itself and expend energy by turbulent interaction. Immediately downstream of the first section, second one of the sections is radially extending toward the outlet.
Abstract: Disclosed are heating and warming assemblies including an electrically resistive thin film. The assemblies generally include a planar substrate, a resistive film for heat generation, one or more electrically conductive electrodes in electrical association with the resistive film, and a non-stick layer disposed on the exposed surfaces of the assembly. The heating and warming assemblies according to the present invention are particularly well suited for use in heating devices and appliances such as ranges and griddles. The assemblies are also incorporated into heating panels for ovens.
Abstract: An ion implantation apparatus has a wafer processing chamber which executes ion implantation on plural product wafers 2 while integrally revolving the product wafers 2 at a high speed in a locus passing through an irradiation range of ion beams 1. A wafer wheel 5 having plural wafer holders 4 which radially elongate from a rotating shaft 3 and which respectively hold the product wafers 2 is provided with an electrically conductive body 6 (7, 8) which is grounded and which passes through the irradiation range of the ion beams 1. Further, a method is provided in which ion implantation can be conduced without causing a charge-up, in a production step of a MOS semiconductor device of the extension structure. The source and drain regions of a MOS semiconductor of the extension structure are formed by using the ion implantation apparatus.

Abstract: Electrical loads are powered by one of several different power sources through a selector switch. A monitoring circuit monitors the different power sources to sense a change of state, that is, power up or shut down. Such a change indicates that the selector switch is likely to be operated to select a new power source. The monitoring circuit shuts down certain loads to limit current surges when the new power source is connected.
Abstract: A device for deterring theft of an article, including a fragile vial containing a theft deterring substance; a vial carrier structure and a cover structure. The carrier structure includes a weakened region allowing the vial carrier to yield if a force is exerted on the attachment, thereby causing the vial to break due to loads transferred via vial engaging surfaces. The connection between the carrier structure and the cover structure is formed by two or more distinct local connections separated by a central area and located spaced away from the attachment in opposite longitudinal directions of the vial. The proposed device is of a simple cost-effective and light construction while the vial reliably fractures if an unauthorized attempt is made to remove the device.
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for measuring an antenna diagram in which:the antenna (30) is connected to a receiver (33) capable of supplying C/No measures (the ratio of the useful signal power to the noise power spectral density) and possibly phase variation measurements;the antenna (30) is placed at the end of a mast (32) or a carrier satellite facing towards the sky to track the satellites in a constellation, the antenna reception band being included in the satellite antenna transmission band;the C/No ratio and phase variations are automatically recorded for a given period;the diagram for the said antenna is deduced by calculation.
Abstract: A gas supply assembly having a tube with a first end and a second end. The first end is provided with a burner fitting and the second end is provided with an inlet fitting, the inlet fitting having an inlet fitting shape.
