Abstract: A semiconductor device and manufacturing method thereof having a diffusion barrier layer formed on a semiconductor wafer, whose surface region is provided with a silylation layer, wherein the silylation layer is formed on the diffusion barrier layer which is formed on the semiconductor wafer, by a plasma process using silicon hydride or by a reactive sputtering method using SiH.sub.4. When the metal layer is formed on the silylation layer, the wettability between the diffusion barrier layer and the metal is enhanced and large grains are formed, thereby increasing the step coverage for the contact hole of the metal layer or for the via hole. Additionally, when heat treatment is performed after the metal layer is formed on the silylation layer, the reflow characteristic of the metal layer becomes good, to thereby facilitate the filling of the contact hole or the via hole easy.
Abstract: Water dispersible granules are prepared that contain low melting point pesticides and which are prepared by milling the pesticides with a first portion of finely divided filler and blending the milled mixture with a second portion of finely divided filler, wetting the blend with water and then forming granules from the wetted blend.

Abstract: To provide a tire pressure estimating system which is capable of estimating tire pressure based on a signal representing the rotational speed of a vehicle wheel via a small amount of processing by using low-capacity memory, a wheel speed sensor is provided for each wheel of a vehicle. A pulse signal output by the wheel speed sensor is supplied to a signal processor. In the signal processor, the rotational speed of each vehicle wheel is found from the pulse signal. The signal processor adopts a second-order linear prediction model for the rotational speed of the vehicle wheel and vibration of the tire using parameters identified from values of the rotational speed. A resonance frequency is then found from the identified parameters. Finally, the tire pressure is estimated from a linear relationship between the pressure and the resonance frequency.
