  • Patent number: 7486394
Abstract: A measuring head (4) according to the invention comprises the combination of a zone lens (26), which is preferably a diffractive lens, with a hemispherical lens (23) or a GRIN lens (33). This represents a concept capable of miniaturization, resulting in very slender measuring heads (4) having a high numeric aperture and, accordingly, leads to the best resolution capacity. Such measuring heads are insensitive to angular errors as concerns the orientation of the measuring head to the surface to be measured or to an oblique positioning of the surface relative to the optical axis of the measuring head.

  • Patent number: 7484314
Abstract: A micrometer screw gauge comprises a divided measuring spindle. The gauge's front part representing the measuring screw is secured in a torque-proof manner in a guide element. The rear section configured as a threaded spindle has the same diameter. In so doing, it is coupled in an axially rigid but rotatable manner to the measuring screw. This measuring spindle may replace a conventional, rigid, continuous measuring spindle of a micrometer screw gauge and, in so doing, results, without substantial design change, in a micrometer screw gauge comprising a non-rotatable measuring spindle.

  • Patent number: 7401429
Abstract: In a point of purchase display having an integral graphic panel metallic supporting frame for an H-frame shelving system, retrofit pliant graphic panels are provided that may be quickly installed and remain firmly secured but may be quickly detached from the supporting frame to change the graphic message. The retrofit graphic panels utilize U-shaped top clips which are positioned to align with and operably engage the upper portions of the supporting frame and pliant magnetic strips attached to the back of the graphic panels to align with and magnetically adhere to lower portions of the metallic supporting frame. In another embodiment, in addition to the U-shaped top clips and pliant magnetic strips used to secure the graphic panels to the metallic supporting frame, leading edge clips are also utilized to secure certain of the graphic panels to product carrying bins of the point of purchase display.

  • Patent number: 7338302
Abstract: A novel lamp socket finding application with a type of increased protection, has a housing part (13) in which a one-piece elastomer sealing sleeve (20) is preferably rotatably held. The sealing sleeve (20) is at its lamp-side end preferably slightly radially compressible, while it is stiffer in the axial direction. As a result, it yields inward when axially pressed by the frustoconical inner side of the housing part (13). The one-piece construction of the sealing sleeve (20) from a single material, on the one hand, ensures a simple manufacture and, on the other hand, prevents a faulty mounting caused by slipped seals or the like.

  • Patent number: 6996929
Abstract: A sign system particularly useful for point of purchase displays is provided. The sign system includes an elongated trough for carrying one or more folding sign members. The trough is provided with a slot which because of its dimensions allows a media portion of the sign member to pass through the slot and hang below the trough member while the top of the sign member is retained in the trough. In one embodiment the elongated troughs are carried by vertical supports which attach to an existing shelving system. Other embodiments are disclosed for supporting the elongated trough. The folding sign members have a display position for displaying any messages or graphics carried by the sign member, and a shelving accessibility position in which the sign member may be folded allowing access to any shelving hidden by the sign members while the sign member is retained in the folded position by the trough.

Abstract: A redundant power supply/signal conditioner system for a resistance temperature detector includes power supply/signal conditioner modules having first and second output terminals connected to a resistance temperature detector. Diode circuits are connected across the output terminals of each of the power supply/signal conditioner modules to provide an alternate current path when the corresponding power supply/signal conditioner module is removed or is not conductive due to a failure. Each of the power supply/conditioner modules includes a constant current source for supplying a constant current which is slightly different in each of the modules. Each of the modules also includes an overvoltage protection circuit for preventing the voltage output by the constant current source from exceeding a predetermined value and a signal conditioner which outputs a signal based on the temperature detected by the resistance temperature detector.

  • Patent number: 4659068
Abstract: A tool for removing cruciforms from an ice basket having an elongated, generally cylindrical and vertically oriented sidewall, the interior of which is accessible from the upper end thereof. The tool is lowered into the ice basket from the open, upper end thereof in axial alignment with the ice basket. Clamping means disposed at the lower end of the tool are aligned with a cruciform. Remote control means are operable from the exterior of the ice basket to actuate the clamping means for securely clamping the cruciform, for igniting a cutting torch assembly, and for operating a linear actuator to move the cutting torch assembly downwardly in translation, the torches of the cutting torch assembly cutting the cruciform from the ice basket. The cruciform remains clamped, and is withdrawn with the tool from the ice basket.
