Abstract: A method is provided for adapting or adjusting a machine support where the weight of the machine is accommodated exclusively by a main support. For a differentiated adaptation of the machine support to secondary forces, such as oscillating inertial forces, at least one auxiliary module, which is free of the weight of the machine, is connected in parallel to the main support in such a way that as a consequence of the spring rigidity of the auxiliary module, a spring system combination of the main support and of the auxiliary module corresponds to prescribed characteristics of dampening and inherent frequency.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cord-type gas generator, comprising a solid propellant strand (10) consisting of a gas-generating material, located in a sleeve (12) and a detonation element (18). The solid propellant strand (10) is positioned in the sleeve (12) in such a way, that continuous channels (19) are configured between the sleeve (12) and the solid propellant strand (10) for the formation of a detonation shock wave. The gas generator is characterised in that the solid propellant strand (10) has a reduced woven thickness (W), achieved by the introduction of gaps into the material (slits 13, pores 14), in order to reduce its burn time.
Abstract: A centrifugal clutch is provided, especially for manually-guided, motor-driven implements such as chainsaws and the like. The clutch comprises centrifugal bodies, each of which is essentially comprised of a shoe that has the shape of a circular arc and has a support member. The shoes are held and guided by guides on a carrier member that is disposed on the drive side. On the output side, the clutch is essentially formed of a drum having a surface that axially and radially spans the centrifugal bodies. Disposed at each end of a centrifugal body is a projection and a complementary recess, which both extend approximately tangentially relative to the drum.
Abstract: A method for producing for deployment in an air bag module an air bag which in its inflated condition has a three-dimensional form via the fabrication of a two layered material web from which individual air bag cut-outs are continuously cut includes connecting the material web layers to one another along closed contours such that the edges so formed from the connection of the material web layers to one another exhibit a trapezoidal-like shape. The method also includes cutting along a cutting line such that the path of the cutting line of the individual air bag cut-out to be cut out does not correspond, in the area of the corners of the longer trapezoid side, to the contour edge but, instead, to contribute to the formation of the height of the three-dimensional air bag, extends inwardly.
Abstract: A yarn wetting apparatus, especially for a two-for-one twisting spindle assembly, and a two-for-one twisting spindle assembly having a yarn wetting apparatus disposed on the upper end of its spindle hollow axis, are provided. The yarn wetting apparatus comprises a reservoir, a porous wetting body which extends to the reservoir and has a capillary capacity, and a yarn passage opening which tapers in the direction of the spindle hollow axis of the two-for-one twisting spindle assembly, wherein the inner end of the yarn passage opening is in communication with the reservoir via at least one wetting agent back flow channel.
Abstract: The invention relates to a monitoring system for a conveying device for flat articles, especially wafers, which conveying device is provided with a carriage (28) that is movable along a predetermined path next to a flat article (10) that is located at a predetermined removal location, the carriage having a receiving device for the accommodation of the flat article (10), which monitoring system contains a light source (50) having a light-exit window and a light receiver (52) having a light-admission window, whereby the light-exit window and the light-admission window are positioned in such a way that a light beam (60) directed form the light-exit window to the light-admission window is partially covered by the carriage (28) during its movement through the light beam, and an evaluation unit that is connected to the light receiver and that compares a target signal derived from its movement of the carriage along a target path with an actual signal derived from an actual movement of the carriage, and indicates a d

The implement has a fuel-conveying system for supplying fuel to the carburetor. Downstream of the carburetor, via a power line and a metering device disposed in the primer line, the fuel-conveying system is connected to an area that in the intake phase communicates with the crankcase. The metering device is controlled by the pressure in the crankcase.

Abstract: In a SEM it is desirable, in given circumstances, to acquire an image of the sample (14) by means of Auger electrons extracted from the sample and traveling back through the bore of the objective lens (8) in the direction opposing the direction of the primary beam. It is know to separate extracted electrons from the primary beam by positioning Wien filters (32, 34) in front of the objective lens (8), the filters being energized in such a way that they do not cause deflection of the primary beam but do not deflect the secondary electrons. This technique cannot be used for Auger electrons, considering their high energy and hence much stronger fields in the Wien filters, thus causing substantial imaging aberrations in the primary beam.
