Abstract: An end of stroke linear decelerator apparatus for powered slides and method include a disc spring member (A) retained upon a guide rod by a retainer disc member (B) which is itself positioned for retention upon a guide rod adjacent a tooling member. An elastomer retainer (C) positions the disc upon the guide rod and has an elastomer extension facing outwardly of the disc for dampening noises and forceful engagement with the frame which supports the guide rods.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for winding a web roll on a surface winder for automatically starting up an end of a web for winding utilizes an elongated cradle (A) into which a web end severed by a cutting apparatus (B) after a full web roll is doffed falls into a flexible cradle a free end of which is raised responsive to lifting apparatus (D) causing a severed end of an incoming web to be started on a new roll core which has been positioned by a dispenser (C) over the severed end of the web, and wherein further raising of the cradle places the new roll core with the severed end upon the surface winder.

Abstract: A goal and method of assembly and transport for accommodating a playing field to a variety of sports includes a segmented horizontal bar (A) supported in elevated position upon upright legs (B) which are carried in hinged relation and provided with rearwardly extending lower support members (C) Which may be folded upwardly from locked position. The members (B) and (C) may then be folded into side by side alignment with the segmented bar (A) which is then in fully folded position with the rearwardly extending net. Support members may also be folded inwardly for completing the package for towing on the dolly (H). Suitable locking mechanism is provided for securing all of the structural components when fully deployed as a fixed goal upon the playing field. These fixed members may then be released for folding into positioning upon the dolly.

Abstract: An air scrubber and method for cleaning a stream of air utilizes a horizontal tray (A) together with a passageway (B) for transporting air beneath the trays and directing same upwardly through a perforated bottom of the tray which is supplied with a predetermined level of water which flows over a weir from a suitable source (C) wherein the upwardly directed air agitates the water resulting in a scrubbing action which is then followed by the action of an eliminator section (D) which removes water remaining in the air stream after agitation and scrubbing.

Abstract: A battery operated, self-contained toilet lid alarm system for alerting adults in a household with small children that a toilet lid is open and thus presenting a danger of drowning or serious injury to the children utilizes a time delay switch contained in a housing (A) to deactivate the alarm for selected periods of time allowing the system to reactivate itself after the delay is over emitting a noise to alert adults within the vicinity of the toilet, even when the toilet lid is only partially open.

Abstract: A spring loaded fishing lure (10) includes a fishhook assembly comprised of a plurality of fishhooks (A) having resilient legs (13a) converging in a single juncture at ends opposite respective barbed ends. The juncture together with adjacent portions (13b) of the resilient legs forms a spring (B) urging the barbed ends radially outwardly apart from each other. The fishhook assembly resides in an elongated bore (11) of a fishing lure body (C) and is held therein by a retainer (D), such that a wall (14) of the elongated bore holds the fishhooks in compressed relation. When a fish strikes, the fishhook assembly slides toward the retainer, permitting the barbed ends to spread apart radially outwardly within the mouth of the fish. Additionally, since the resilient legs (13a) move easily responsive to the open-and-shut motion of the fish's mouth, the fish cannot disengage it from the barbs. Accordingly, enhanced fish-catching characteristics are provided.
