Abstract: A method for performing echocardiography for use with patient's unable to perform on a treadmill and in which no medications for increasing heart rate are used. Compression cuffs are placed on each of a patient's four extremities and compression is applied rotatingly to subsets of three out of the four cuffs. EKG is monitored before, during, and after application of the sequential decompression, thereby providing an echocardiograph of the patient's heart.
Abstract: A method and device to modify tissue in a manner such that it will take on a permanent new shape. Subdermal tissue is heated to approx 60° C. at which point it becomes pliable and moldable and will take on a permanent new shape if allowed to cool and heal in a new position.

Abstract: A method and apparatus that will alter the fibrous strands in the fatty layers of the skin to reduce the appearance of cellulite and adipose tissue. Electromagnetic energy is used to selectively shrink or alternatively photoacoustically ablate the collagen in the constricting bands of connective tissue that causes the dimpled appearance of cellulite and adipose tissue while avoiding damage to the surrounding fatty cells.
Abstract: A method for garbage collection in which resources used by data objects in a computer program that are not accessed in the future are reclaimed, the method consists of the following steps of 1. Providing a tracing garbage collector which is both parallelized and incremental; 2. Integrating the collector with the computer program to create the mutator; 3. Instructing the mutator to scan and collect resources used by data objects in a computer program that are not accessed in the future simultaneously on all threads in small amounts; and 4. Interleaving the mutator scanning and collection with unrelated processing by the computer program such that all of the threads in the application are never stopped simultaneously for any portion of the collection cycle.
Abstract: A method to create a hollow ornamental structure utilizing an inflatable balloon, the ornamental structure features an inner shell layer created by inflating the inflatable balloon to the predetermined size and shape with a filler material, allowing said filler material to harden and pouring out access filler material when a desirable thickness of hardened filler material is attained; and a textured and colored outer shell layer. The basic form of the hollow ornamental structure can be further modified to form a container such as a vase and other decorative pieces.

Abstract: A multi-functional hairbrush with storage compartments for grooming, storing and organizing small beauty accessories, the hairbrush having a hollow brush head and main chamber, a brush lid portion attached hingedly to the hollow brush head, a plurality of spring clips mounted removably therewithin. The hairbrush also has a slot chamber positioned underneath the main chamber and a flat comb portion fitting within the slot chamber and inserted removably therewithin. The hairbrush has a hollow, elongated handle portion and an elongated chamber, with handle lid portion attached hingedly to the handle portion. The elongated chamber also as a plurality of spring clips mounted removably therewithin.
Abstract: An aeration and microbial reactor system for use in decontaminating water including a housing adapted to float within the medium such that a top portion thereof remains adjacent a top surface of the contaminated water while the bioreactor containing inoculated carrier media is attached below. Beneficial microbial populations thrive and spread throughout the liquid medium, and consume or fix the contaminant such that the contaminant is removed from the water.
Abstract: A permeable paver that has water permeability of on average about 1 inch per hour and compressive strength of an average of about 8000 psi, the paver manufactured by forming a mixture comprising blast-furnace slag, sand, gravel and Portland cement into predetermined sizes, shapes and colors as desired utilizing a hydraulic-type or equivalent compacting block forming machine.

Abstract: Improved devices and methods for removing blood from a blood vessel in preparation for endovenous laser ablation are described. The improved methods include one or more of: placing the patient in the Trendelenburg position, applying external compression around the vein, massaging the vein, cooling the vein externally, encouraging spasming of the vein, and removing blood with a suction device.

Abstract: A garbage disposal installation tool for installing garbage disposal units under sinks providing two degrees of height adjustment that consists of a flat base portion, a hollow cylindrical housing portion that has an operable locking system attached to the base portion, a hollow cylindrical shaft portion sliding longitudinally inside the housing portion, wherein sliding position temporarily secured and locked by the locking system, a flat top platform portion having an externally threaded rod portion extending perpendicular to the top platform, and a rotatable lever bar nut having an internally threaded center through hole with screw threads matchingly corresponding with the threaded rod portion, wherein rotation of the lever bar nut causes axial motion of the externally threaded rod portion resulting in raising and lowering of the top platform portion.
Abstract: The present invention describes a method of treating restless leg syndrome by eliminating venous reflux in an underlying vein. The malfunctioning vein can be removed or ablated by inserting a catheter into the vein that transmits sufficient energy to coagulate or ablate the lining of the vein causing it to permanently close, eliminating the source of venous reflux and the symptom of restless leg syndrome.

Abstract: A rotary shock absorber coupled on an axle between a disc brake rotor and a rotatable wheel of equipment, bicycle or motor vehicle, for providing enhanced suspension. The rotary shock absorber consists of an air-tight hollow disc structure filled with lubricant, the disc structure further having a central circular opening, a sealing plate coupled to and sealing the central circular opening on one side, a sealing boot portion coupled and sealing the central circular opening on the other side, and a circular hub portion nesting inside the hollow disc structure. The hub portion further has six circular through holes, two identical helical springs nested firmly inside each of the six circular through holes, and six lug bolts each having two threaded ends and a smooth body. Each of the six lug bolts is further coupled rigidly and perpendicularly at the center of each of the two corresponding helical springs and secured on both ends at each side of the hollow disc structure.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for playing a game is provided. Unique indicia are assigned to each member of a plurality of groups. Each group is composed of entries that correspond to items that each have a value that is objective, arbitrary, and that fluctuates over time, e.g., the items in each group may correspond to the performance of openly traded instruments in the market. A performance value for of the each groups are calculated and displayed over a period of time. To play the game, a player makes of selection of one or more alphabetic characters to play in a race or a contest. The player may make the selection electronically by submission through a displayed user interface. In a set of games that lend itself to amusement and contests, the selection is scored based on the performance value associated with each unique indicium in the players selection.
Abstract: A novel technique for annotating a time series graph with embedded tick marks and grid lines and method for selecting and placing such tick marks and lines within such graph. This method allows for the creation of large time series graphs that allow simultaneous perception of graph trends and features as well as the visual estimation of the values of graph point(s). Graphs produced by this method do not require the excessive user effort, time, or manipulation of graphical user interface affordances that are entailed in these two perceptual tasks with graphs annotated using prior art methods. Additionally, this method allows for minimal visual clutter of the graph.
Abstract: A tire chain and cable installation device to assist tire chains and cables installation on vehicles with tires or wheels. The tire chain and cable installation device is made of a resilient, flexible clamp portion having two gripping ends formed integrally with the clamp portion, and has a elongated indicator portion extending outwardly from the clamp portion.
