Abstract: An efficient approach to extract an object's position and orientation in a 3 dimensional space is disclosed. This approach combines inertial sensor data with ranging and imaging devices and establishes vision processing under leveled conditions as determined by the gravity vector. By determining a leveled condition, this approach provides an effective way to exploit the object's position and orientation along the horizontal plane from horizontal range measurements and simplify processing of image data, which maps the vertical plane information. The system can be used to aid the object detection and identification process.

Abstract: A portable stack lamp includes a base supported by a supporting device, such as an extensible tripod and a plurality of rolling wheels, two or more lamp units stacked up to form a stack-up lamp body mounted on said base, and a cover which is adapted to cover a top opening of the housing of the lamp unit having a handle affixed thereon. The portable stack lamp is arranged to provide 360 degrees illumination so as to produce luminous beams in all directions while the user is able to selectively increase or decrease its luminous intensity by simply stacking up more or less lamp unit easily anytime. Therefore, the portable stack lamp can illuminate the surrounding that not only minimizes the number of work lamps to be used but also saves both the electrical energy and illumination cost.
Abstract: A filtering process is adapted for eliminating the need of prediscretizing a continuous-time differential model into a discrete-time difference model. It provides a universal robust solution to the most general formulation, in the sense that the system dynamics are described by nonlinear continuous-time differential equations, and the nonlinear measurements are taken at intermittent discrete times randomly spaced. The filtering process includes the procedures of validating the measurement using fuzzy logic, and incorporating factorized forward filtering and backward smoothing to guarantee numerical stability. It provides users a reliable and convenient solution to extracting internal dynamic system state estimates from noisy measurements, with wider applications, better accuracy, better stability, easier design, and easier implementation.
Abstract: A sports utility stroller includes a boundary frame including a top and bottom frame to form a playpen cavity therebetween, a stroller frame including a pair of side frames, which supports two sides of the boundary frame, each including a first side frame leg and a second side frame leg pivotally connected with each other, and a pair of locking arrangements for securely locking up the two side frames so as to retain the boundary frame at an unfolded position, wherein at the unfolded position, a top frame is lifted up from the bottom frame to form the playpen cavity having a predetermined depth, and at a folded position, the first and second side frame legs are pivotally folded to drop the top frame towards the bottom frame, so as to minimize the depth of the playpen cavity.
Abstract: A sports skills training arrangement, which is provided to promote muscle memory of a user, includes an arm loop strap adapted for fittingly encircling an upper arm of the user, a tension strap having a first end and a second end attached to the arm loop strap, a body connector affixed to the first end of the tension strap for detachably attaching to a waist portion of the user, a waist adjuster defining a control portion of the tension strap between the second end thereof and the waist adjuster and a waist loop portion of the tension strap for fittingly fastening around the waist portion of the user, and a length adjustment buckle for adjusting a length of the control portion of the tension strap. Therefore, a distance between the arm and the waist portion of the user is limited to promote coordinated arm and body movements.
Abstract: A safety piezoelectric lighter incorporates with a safety arrangement which includes an ignition cap having a locker cavity. A locking unit includes a locking latch extended from an inner wall of the casing and a locker arm disposed in the locker cavity of the ignition cap. An operation button slidably mounted on the ignition cap for moving the locker arm to an unlocked position. A resilient element is arranged for applying an urging pressure against the locker arm so as to normally retain the locker arm in a locking position that the locker arm is biased against the locker latch so as to block up the ignition cap from being slid downward for ignition. A user must operate the operation button for moving the locker arm away from the locking latch, so that the ignition cap is capable of being slid downward to ignite the piezoelectric lighter.
Abstract: The cushioned seat and back support, which is adapted for mounting on a chair frame of a collapsible chair, includes a support layer, a cover layer overlapped with the support layer, and a cushion layer sandwiched between the support layer and the cover layer, wherein the back support portion of the support layer is mounted to back frame legs of the foldable chair frame and the seat support portion of the support layer is supported by two front upper frame joints of the foldable chair frame, so as to substantially mount the cushioned seat and back support on the foldable chair frame.
