Abstract: A water heater control system for controlling the thermostat setting on a water heater which senses the temperature on an outflow line from the water heater and energizes a control for lowering the thermostat setting during periods of low flow demand and raising the thermostat setting during periods of high demand, thereby reducing overall required heating energy.

Abstract: A trash container lid system for placement on top of large industrial trash bins of the type utilizer in hotels, apartment houses, etc., in which a lid section is rotatably coupled to a trash bin. The lid in one embodiment is slidably coupled to the top surfaces of the side sections of the trash bin via rollers on the lid and a roller track on the top edge of the side sections and rotatably coupled to the trash bin via a lever arm rotatably coupled at one end to the trash bin and to another end to a back lower portion of the lid section.

Abstract: An electrical generating system in which a hermetically sealed flotation sphere, preferably constructed of plastic, is anchored to a sea bed. The sphere carries a circumferential fender on the outside thereof in which is located a plurality of screws open to sea water which generate electricity from the action of ground swells. A wind turbine is mounted on top of the sphere for generating electricity from wind action and a solar generator is disposed directly beneath the wind turbine and on the upper surface of the sphere for generating energy from solar heat. An air compressor is disposed beneath the sphere for generating electricity from tidal action.

Abstract: A self-cleaning fluid filter for filtering fluid entering an inlet of a pump, such as an air pump, in which a fluid filter is wrapped around a filter spool forming a filter drum and the drum coupled to the shaft of the pump motor for rotation thereof. The fluid entering the rotating filter will then be filtered of its impurities which, due to centrifugal force, will be dispersed outwardly from the filter drum to drop into a residue container. A deflector plate is disposed in proximity to the inlet for deflecting heavy particles to the residue container.

Abstract: A reinforced orthodontic bracket constructed of a translucent plastic for direct application to a patient's tooth as by an adhesive where the translucent bracket itself has a metallic reinforcement imbedded therein for added structural strength for the prevention of a displacement of the bracket because of forces applied by an arch wire attached thereto.

Abstract: A differential housing cover for attachment to a standard differential housing having a pair of compression bolts threadably coupled thereto extending within the differential housing; the compression bolts each having a swivel cap in contact with the carrier cap of the differential system for prevention of rear-end failures because of carrier cap breakage.
