  • Patent number: 7066102
Abstract: A moorage for affixing to a floating dock and allowing a user to single handedly soft land, dock, and moor a boat thereto. Attaching apparatus attaches to the floating dock. Bow stop apparatus is connected to the attaching apparatus by connecting apparatus and is engaged by a bow of the boat during mooring. The connecting apparatus is generally vertically-oriented, straight, slender, and elongated. The attaching apparatus includes a lower portion and an upper portion which both receive a lower end of the connecting member. The bow stop apparatus includes a pair of plates that diverge away from the connecting member. In an alternate embodiment, the pair of plates are resiliently attached to the connecting apparatus by coil springs that act as shock absorbers when the pair of plates are impacted upon by the bow of the boat during mooring.

  • Patent number: 7063291
Abstract: An amphibian delta wing jet aircraft, which has a plurality of triangular folding wing panels, two of which are hingedly attached to a lifting shape body, which incorporates a W-shaped hull in it's cross section of a fuselage so that the craft operates efficiently as an aircraft when flying through the air with the wings in a fully unfolded extended position. The craft also performs well as a watercraft capable of relatively high speeds on the water surface when the wing are folded-up in a non extended position. The W-shape hull transverse cross section also provides excellent characteristics so that the craft can hydroplane over marshlands or waterlogged soil which may be covered with emersed rushes, or snow, cattails and other tall grasses. The craft is also provided with four retractably mounted mechanically extendable wheels, to be utilized when configured as a land vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7044863
Abstract: A grip adjusting insert for a hole in a bowling ball. An outer sleeve is inserted in the hole in the bowling ball, an inner sleeve is movably mounted in the sleeve, and a finger-engaging member is affixed in the inner sleeve and conforms to a finger of a user. The outer sleeve has a pair of throughslots that are inverted T-shaped. The inner sleeve has a pair of pins that ride axially downwardly in the pair of throughslots in the outer sleeve, respectively, when the inner sleeve is inserted into the sleeve, and at which time, the inner sleeve is rotated relative to the outer sleeve so as to cause the pair of pins to move laterally in the pair of throughslots in the outer sleeve, respectively. The finger-engaging member is rubber poured into the inner sleeve, with a finger therein so as to conform thereto.

  • Patent number: 7040027
Abstract: A rear peep sight for mounting to a string of a bow and having interchangeable sight ports for accommodating different user preferences. A mounting member mounts to the string of the bow and a sighting member is interchangeably attached to the mounting member so as to accommodate different user preferences of sight ports. The mounting member has a channel that slidably receives the sighting member so as to provide a dove-tail joint that prevents the sighting member from vertical movement, yet allows for horizontal movement so as to allow the sighting member to slide sideways into the channel. The sighting member has an auxiliary through bore and a pimple that align with, and engage with, respectively, a pair of through bores in the mounting member. A screw extends freely through one through bore in the mounting member and threadably into the auxiliary through bore so as to maintain prevention of the sighting member from horizontal movement.

  • Patent number: 6944888
Abstract: A system for venting noxious fumes from a toilet. A toilet seat weight-sensing switch operatively connects to a fan and activates when the seat of the toilet is sat upon. A toilet flush handle switch activates when the flush handle of the toilet activates. A timer circuit activates when the toilet flush handle switch is activated. A logic gate operatively connects to the toilet seat weight-sensing switch, the timer circuit, and the fan. When the seat of the toilet is sat upon, the toilet seat weight-sensing switch generates a pulse turning on the logic gate which generates a pulse which turns on the fan. When the flush handle of the toilet activates, the toilet flush handle switch generates a pulse turning on the timer circuit which after a predetermined time generates a pulse which turns off the logic gate which turns off the fan.

  • Patent number: 6935912
Abstract: A self-contained, emergency marker for attaching to, and selectively ascending from, a scuba diver's buoyancy control device. A buoy portion is contained in an enclosure and is selectively released therefrom by an activating apparatus. A buoy inflates, escapes from a buoy sub-enclosure by buoyancy, and tethers a buoy cord out of a buoy cord sub-enclosure when a pull pin is released, causing an upper end of an arm to bias away from the buoy sub-enclosure, causing a lower end of the arm to pivot toward the buoy sub-enclosure, causing a pin to rise and puncture a CO2 cartridge. The buoy has thereon a beeper and a flashing strobe light that electrically communicate with a battery interface that, in one embodiment is located in the buoy, and in another embodiment is located in the buoy cord sub-enclosure.

  • Patent number: 6930268
Abstract: A non-fused electrical slide switch. A handle assembly is operatively connected to a base, between on and off positions, and movable relative to a cover. The base has two pair of raised landings rising above four contact strips. Each pair of raised landings are disposed between one load and one line contact strip of the four contact strips and between the one load contact strip and partitions of the base, respectively. A shoe assembly includes a pair of contact shoes and at least one pair of springs biasing the pair of contact shoes. Depending portions of each contact shoe are in direct contact with associated load and line contact strips allowing electrical communication therebetween. The two pair of raised landings prevent arcing as the handle assembly traverses the on/off positions by raising the depending portions of each contact shoe immediately after they leave contact with the associated load and line contact strips.

  • Patent number: 6915924
Abstract: A water dispensing apparatus switches from a city water supply line to an auxiliary water reservoir when the city water supply line becomes unacceptable. A valve connects, alternatively, city water and auxiliary water supply lines to a consumer water supply line. Auxiliary water is supplied from a water accumulator to the auxiliary water supply line and replenished by pumping from the auxiliary water reservoir in response to detection by a pressure switch of low accumulator pressure. A check valve is inserted in the auxiliary water supply line downstream of an electric pump and upstream of the pressure switch. A low water level detector operates a switch to cut off power to the pump when the level of water in the auxiliary water supply reservoir falls below a predetermined value.
