  • Patent number: 8123124
Abstract: To prevent fraud, a magnetic card's ID, which may be a stripe ID or security chip, is converted to an encrypted card ID, which is stored on the card and in a database. Information about the card's history is captured, encrypted, and stored on the card and in a database. To validate the card, the magnetic card ID on the card is again converted to the card ID. This card ID is then compared with the card ID for that card in the database. The card history data stored on the card may also be compared, for validity and to determine points of fraud, with the card history data stored in the database. The data in the card's magnetic card ID can also be compared with the decrypted data in the card ID stored on that card to help determine the card's validity, for example, when the database is inaccessible. Card data about the account holder, stored on the card's magnetic stripe, may also be used to create the card ID for verification.

  • Patent number: 7788121
Abstract: A method for allocating articulated tasks to determinate resources such that enterprise efficiency is maximized. The method uses geographic parameters to perform a set of incrementally rotated reassessments using subtended angular offsets to optimally allocate tasks to resources, thereby rapidly approximating the results that would be obtained from a full permutation suite, but without the massive computational overhead associated with comprehensive permutation weighting. The method provides for proper handling of post-posited task insertions at optimal points within the parameter space, providing final determination authority to the system user. The parameter space can include temporal banding for resource-to-task association. The utility of the method for handling the core calculations of routing and dispatching software, such as is used in the many service industries, is transparent.

  • Patent number: 7756735
Abstract: A process for developing Enterprise Architectures that results in a dramatic reduction in the complexity of the architecture and, therefore, in the cost of developing, implementing, and maintaining that architecture. The process is novel in that it is based on a mathematical model for complexity and how complexity can be reduced. The process for constructing enterprise architectures can also validate the architecture before it is implemented. The process begins by partitioning the Enterprise Architecture into autonomous subunits using the equivalence relation synergistic. It then uses type relations between these autonomous subunits to identify redundancies which can be simplified through consolidation. Once these autonomous subunits have been simplified as much as possible through consolidation, outsourcing, or functionality reduction, they are prioritized through risk/value analysis pictorially represented as Risk/Value Graphs.
