  • Patent number: 4766345
Abstract: A cold cathode gas discharge display panel comprising a gas-filled envelope including a glass base plate and glass face plate. An array of linear electrodes are provided on the base plate with some of the cathodes having adjacent ends. The usual masking layer of insulating material is provided on the base plate to outline the cathodes but this insulating layer does not cover the adjacent ends of the cathodes so that these ends are operatively disposed close together. Thus an improved glow blending of adjacent cathode ends is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4677784
Abstract: A fishing rod holder includes a tubular member adapted to be pushed into the ground adjacent to a fishing area. The tubular member carries an adjustable ring which can support a fishing rod at selected levels and it also carries an alarm for detecting when a fish moves the fishing rod. This alarm includes a half-ring which is held in a slot in the wall of the tubular member and is spring biased away from an alarm but when a fish moves the rod, the half-ring is pushed into position in which it trips the alarm.

  • Patent number: 4644686
Abstract: An ornamental plant pot made to resemble an object found in nature and including a construction which allows for drainage of excess liquid from the soil in the pot and enables dissipation of such liquid while precluding return of the liquid to the soil in the pot. The construction includes a concealed trough spaced below drain holes leading from the soil and means permitting the passage of ambient air to the trough and dissipation of the excess liquid.

  • Patent number: 4635548
Abstract: Printing apparatus including a flexible support for a patch to be printed on and a vertical ram carrying type at its lower end. An inking roller is positioned to pass over the type with the type held up away from the patch to be printed on, and, after the inking roller has left the area of the type, the ram drives the inked type onto the patch. The ram is then raised, and the inking roller returns from being inked to a position where it can again ink the raised type to begin and repeat the printing operation.

  • Patent number: 4595974
Abstract: A circuit for controlling the base drive of switching transistor in a power supply wherein the switching transistor is coupled to the primary winding of a transformer linking the primary and secondary circuits of the power supply. Optimum operation of the switching transistor implies a desired level of saturation thereof. Base drive for the switching transistor is provided by a second conducting transistor. An excess of current flowing in the switching transistor is sensed, thereby effecting a reduction in the current flow in the second transistor. The latter condition causes a diminution in the base drive of the switching transistor and a return to its desired level of saturation.
