Abstract: A tamper-proof bottle for assuring a legal "chain of custody" of its contents. The bottle has adjacent its open end a circumferential series of abutment bodies, each of which co-operates with one of a series of abutment bodies carried on the inner wall of the cap's rim wall, forming a series of retainer sets. When rotated to its closed position, the cap and bottle cannot be separated without breakage; and in moving into that position, the resilient nature of the sets is sufficient to let the set bodies pass one another but after such passing to cause the deformable body portion to move so that at least a part of one will be within the axial extent of the abutment wall of the mating body portion, thus blocking against cap-removal except with breakage. The cap is also provided with one or more outlet ferrules, they being closed-ended cylinders; and a plug is provided for resealing the bottle once the closed end is cut off, the plug being self-locking once inserted.

Abstract: A locking bar for blocking relative movement of movable parts of a device, particularly providing anti-theft nature to devices such as wheelchairs which would probably be manipulated to a collapsed condition as an incident to a theft of the device; and anti-theft nature is especially provided by the locking bar made to appear to be merely a non-removable axle, yet made shortenable for removal, and thus chair-collapsability by authorized personnel, by an internal sliding operativity which is concealed but which achieves length-changing be engagement of screw-threaded parts to permit manual torque-application to movable parts to achieve the length-changing, the sliding member being a socket whose sliding into or from its length-changed position is effected merely by tilting to achieve positioning by gravity.

Abstract: A grill device or grill kit, having a base, support post, and a cantilevered support arm, adjustably interconnected for wide accommodation of cooking or grilling situations, outdoors or even indoors in a front-loading stove or fireplace. The support arm, and its revolvable connection to the support post, provide for use of the support arm as a rotisserie, and both a motor and a hand crank are provided for the grill-turning function; and diversity is further accommodated by the grill body itself being adjustable for flat-support use, or for meat-clamping use when the grill and support arm are used as a rotisserie.

Abstract: A roller body for providing a brake shoe actuator, in a heavy-duty air brake assembly in which the braking effect is achieved by the movement of a cam which pushes on a brake shoe by rolling forcefully against the roller body which is revolvably carried by the brake shoe; and the roller body has a generally cylindrical surface which is provided with knurling grooves all running generally parallel to the axis of the body member, providing high torque and self-cleaning effect which gives smooth braking and extra gripping power by assuring smooth actuation of the brake shoe in response to the braking force applied to the cam shaft of the braking system.

Abstract: A pressure regulator, of a type having a spring whose compressive force is a factor of the differential of pressure achieved as to the outlet pressure in comparison to the inlet pressure, and whose adjustment of spring pressure achieves a variation of the pressure differential, with the present concepts providing a screw-type camming feature for easily imposing whatever pre-load is desired on the spring to achieve the desired pressure differential of fluid being dispensed by the regulator. The casing is provided with a window through which a tool may be easily passed to give the rotational torque for this camming effect by which the pressure differential adjustment is achieved; and the camming effect provides axial spring-load adjustment by an easily applied rotational torque to an adjustment plate, or to the abutment plate which provides a relief valve function.

Abstract: A salvage-facilitation device in the form of an open-topped wastebasket in its upper region, and in its lower region providing a plurality of receptacles for the convenient sorting and accommodation of pre-sorted storage of discard items; and the provision of the plurality of receptacles immediately adjacent the wastebasket hopper encouring an automaticness of the user to pre-sort the discard items, for more assurance of resource-conservation and higher salvage value of the variety of discard items typically discarded in many offices or similar situations.

Abstract: A set of jumper cables for a "battery-jumping" procedure, having intermediately of the battery-containing ends an electrical switch device by which electrical conductivity of the cables is blocked except when the user, in a position of safety removed from the location of connection of the cables to either battery, moves the switch components to electrically-conducting condition by manual manipulation at such position of safety away from the location of either battery.

Abstract: A muffler for minimizing the noise emanating from a blower of an air ductwork supply line, providing that the overall length of the muffler, and the insert length of the remote muffler outlet, are provided as functions of the wave length of the pitch of the whining noise caused by the blower's impeller; and the interior longitudinal wall of the muffler's end-wall are lined with sound-absorbing material.

Abstract: A foldable seat device having diagonal side legs for support of a flexible sheet seat along its rearward and forward portions; and although legs extending from the rearward portion of the seat are conventionally continuous to their feet, the legs extending from the forward portion of the seat are of two discrete and non-connected portions.Of those legs, the adjacent ends of the lower rearward leg portion, and of the upper forward leg portion, are pivotally connected to the other legs at spaced points therealong; and those unconnected leg portions are pivotally movable independently of one another, permitting a seat-open condition of the seat even though the rear seat-feet may be then retracted to permit a support of the seat in a partially folded condition which permits a use of the seat while the device is leaning against a tree for user comfort.

Abstract: A power-actuated fastener tool for the driving of a fastener object into hard material such as concrete or metal, the tool being of a type having a relatively movable barrel and housing components, the barrel carrying a power load chamber body and a relatively movable piston member which in muzzleward movement drives the fastener object, and on breechward movement achieves ejection of the spent power load cartridge; and the housing carries a movable firing pin assembly. The housing is provided with an offset axially-extending wall, and its opposite ends serve as abutments co-opereative with a transverse pin, carried by the piston and extending through a slot in the barrel wall, to achieve various operative features.

Abstract: Apparatus for desoldering, characterized by its suction and pressure effects being achieved by the stroking of a piston in an air cylinder. In the preferred embodiment, the suction effect for drawing in melted solder is forced by a spring, with venting of the pressure previously existing; and the pressure effect for ejecting the melted solder is by the reverse direction stroke of the piston, which not only causes the piston-stroke to pressurize the control tube but to impart energy to the spring for its subsequent suction-stroke operativity.

Abstract: A continuously positive-pressure respiratory aid, providing positive-pressure inhalation and exhalation of a patient suffering from apnea or other respiratory disorder in which forced breathing-assistance is to be administered. A source of pressurized air, an outlet to a face mask, and a vent outlet all are in parallel communication; and the vent is controlled by a spring-pressed valve body which is adjustable to control the above-atmospheric pressure to individual patient's needs. A safety feature provides that the valve body is sufficiently in vent position for the patient's exhalation even if the valve body is somehow blocked from its normal vent movement; and a viscous grease in the support of the valve body prevents objectionable resonant chatter.

Abstract: Applicator apparatus for termite control, including an end-pointed applicator pipe with pump means for supplying the applicator pipe with termiticide liquid under pressure; and adjacent the lower end of the pipe is a pattern or plurality of outlet holes, the holes being located in a span of about 90 degrees of the circumference of the pipe, providing an effective distribution of termiticide along the wall of the structure being treated.

Abstract: An auxiliary light module for vehicles, giving "battery back-up" provisions, particularly useful for "semi" vehicles in which the pulling tractor electrically energizes the light systems of the pulled trailer by a connector strap or harness for interconnecting the tractor's output jack and the trailer's input jack; and the module provides a device conveniently connectable to both the tractor and trailer by jacking to the jacks now used by the jacks of such connector strap or harness. The module includes a battery, a switch, and circuitry for providing the electrical energization of the trailer's running lights and tail lights when the semi is stopped, and whether or not the tractor remains connected to the trailer, providing safety of the warning lights being lit, avoiding drain on the tractor's own battery, etc.
