Abstract: The pourability and softening performance of amidoamine fabric softeners, such as bis(hydrogenated tallow amidoethyl)-2-hydroxyethyl amine) is improved by incorporating certain cyclic imidazolinium compounds such as, 1-methyl-2-nortallow-1(2-tallow amidoethyl) imidazolinium methosulfate. The compositions may be highly concentrated for use at low levels or for further dilution prior to use.

Abstract: An improvement is described in microemulsion compositions or all purpose hard surface cleaning compositions which contain an anticorrosion system designed to protect acid sensitive surfaces from attack by acidic materials.
Abstract: An improvement is described in microemulsion compositions which contain an anionic detergent, a nonionic surfactant, a grease release agent, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water which comprises the use of a water-insoluble odoriferous perfume as the essential hydrocarbon ingredient in a proportion sufficient to form either a dilute o/w microemulsion composition containing, by weight, 1% to 20% of an anionic detergent, 6 to 50% of a cosurfactant, 0.1% to 10% of a grease release agent, 0.4% to 10% of perfume and the balance being water as well as all purpose hard surface cleaning composition or light duty liquid detergent compositions which contain a grease release agent.
Abstract: An adjustable tilt construction for a toothbrush display rack. The rear wall of the rack is provided with one or more T slots, each slot receiving one of two parallel flanges of a respective leg, said leg being generally H shaped in transverse cross section over at least a portion of its length. One flange of each leg is shorter than the other, and is asymmetrically located with respect to it so as to yield two different distances from the ends of the shorter flange to respective ends of the longer flange. This leg configuration permits three different leg heights by inserting each leg into a respective slot in three different ways. In turn, this permits three different tilt angles for the display rack. Each leg has at least one end having biased edges which releasably frictionally fit into the T shaped slots on the rear wall of the rack. The leg and slot configuration may also be used on any member to provide height adjustment.

Abstract: A dispensing container is produced from a disposable flexible, collapsible inner container surrounded by a resilient outer container. A dispensing cap assembly is removably coupled to the outer container to define a dispensing outlet for the contents of the inner container. The dispensing cap assembly includes a cap having an outlet coupled to the inner container. The inner container is attached to a support hanger which in turn is supported by the outer container. The cap has a dispensing outlet coaxially disposed with the outlet of the inner container. A dispensing check valve is provided in the cap assembly to allow the material to be dispensed without air being drawn into the container at the end of the dispensing cycle. The contents of the inner container are dispensed by squeezing the outer container to deform the side walls and create an increased pressure within the outer container causing the contents to be expelled through the dispensing check valve.
Abstract: A self-sealing closure device for a container comprising an insert (1) adapted to be secured within a container neck (2) and comprising a pouring opening as well as a cap (11) adapted to be fastened on the container neck (2). The insert (1) comprises an inwardly extending resilient conically shaped sealing device (8), which at its inner end is provided with an upwardly facing sealing face (10) adapted to sealingly co-operate with a downwardly facing sealing face (18) on the cap (11). The sealing engagement of the two sealing faces (10, 18) being released at a predetermined internal overpressure in the container.
Abstract: A toothbrush whose tufts comprise three distinct groups of rows, with each row oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis of the head. The tufts of the first group are the shortest. The endmost tufts on each row of the second kind tilt laterally outwardly by about 12 degrees. The tufts of the third group are nearest the end of the head farthest from the handle and diverge from each other. In one embodiment, each tuft of the third kind tilts laterally at an angle of about 30 degrees and forwardly at about 14 degrees. In a first embodiment, each row of the first group comprises a single, wide tuft. In a second embodiment, each row of the first group has a plurality of laterally spaced round tufts. In a third embodiment, each row of the first group comprises a plurality of laterally spaced quadrangular tufts. All of the tufts may also be considered as defining four functional groups of tufts, with each of these four groups performing a specific function during brushing.

Abstract: Bleaching compositions comprising an inorganic peroxygen compound and a bicyclic or tricyclic diketone as an activator for the peroxygen compound. The composition preferably comprises about 1 to about 75% of the peroxygen bleaching compound and about 1 to about 75% of the bicyclic or tricyclic diketone bleaching compound activator. The conventional additives such as surfactants, antifoaming agents, fabric softeners, stablizers, inorganic builder salts, buffers, enzymes and the like may be present as indicated. The compositions can be formulated as dry concentrated, aqueous solutions, aqueous solutions containing non-aqueous solvents, etc. The compositions are environmentally safe, effective as bleaching agents from below room temperature to higher temperatures, biodegradable and otherwise highly desirable.
