Abstract: A print pad for printing on a concave surface is molded to the forward surface of a cylindrical base. The base has a cavity therein and at least one hole extending from the forward surface thereof to the cavity. The print pad is made by filling a female mold with liquid polymer and positioning the forward surface of the base against the rear of the mold. Excess liquid polymer from the mold flows through the hole and into the cavity. As the polymer cures it contracts and draws liquefied polymer out of the cavity so that the cured print pad is not deformed.

Abstract: A fuel level detector has a float connected to an arm that rotates a pivot pin. The pivot pin rotates in a hole in the wall of the detector, and the hole is sealed by a sleeve. One end of the sleeve is sealed to the housing of the detector surrounding the hole, and the opposite end of the sleeve is sealed around the outer surface of the pin.

Abstract: The cylindrical shank of a rotatable tool is retained in the cylindrical bore of a tool holder by a retainer that engages an annular groove on a portion of the shank of the tool that extends outward of the rear surface of the tool holder. The tool has an axial bore in the distal end of the shank. The retainer has a pair of spaced ridges that engage the annular groove on the shank and a panel that extends across the distal end of the shank. The retainer is held in place by a pin extending through the panel and into the bore in the distal end of the shank.

Abstract: A card game has several groups of cards with the cards of each group identified by a common color and the cards of each of the groups are successively numbered. A player is given four cards face down and four cards in his hand. In a play of the cards, a player displays one card from his hand and selects one of his face down cards to play it against. The player declares whether the displayed card is higher or lower than the selected card and wins points if his declaration is correct.

Abstract: A device for protecting the lit end of a cigar or cigarette has a tubular body made of a nonflammable material with an inner diameter large enough to permit air to circulate around the lit end of the smoke. The tubular body is retained around the smoke by a second compressible tubular member fitted within the tubular body.

Abstract: A self-sealing nozzle for a liquid dispensing device having a valve and a discharge port, the discharge port including a plug that may be bulbous in shape, the plug being retained by a retainer at the end of the discharge passage leading to the port. An elastomeric seal has an annular inner surface that seals against the plug when liquid is not being dispensed by said valve, but expands and forms a passage around the plug when liquid is being dispensed by said valve.

Abstract: A device for finding a home position of a moveable member includes a magnet mounted on the moveable member and two switch-type Hall effect detectors, one on each side of the home position and equally spaced from the home position. The device includes a device for measuring movement of the moveable member and a microprocessor with a memory that receives information from the two Hall effect detectors and the device for measuring movement.

Abstract: A casino gaming station includes a free standing gaming table and a free standing canopy which can be positioned above the gaming table where the canopy is supported by a pedestal positioned adjacent to the table. The gaming table has an upper surface with markings thereon for use in the playing of one of the games of chance of a casino. The pedestal supports an upwardly extending vertical post with the upper end of the post extending horizontally outward of the pedestal and over the table. At the outer end of the vertical extension is the canopy having a motion video camera therein directed downward towards the surface of the table.

Abstract: A side step for a vehicle has a forward projection that extends into the front fender well of a vehicle and a rearward projection that extends into the rear fender well of the vehicle. Quick release bolt type connectors retain the forward projection in the front fender well and retain the rear projection in the rear fender well such that the side step can be removed from the vehicle for off road driving by unthreading the retaining bolts.

Abstract: The wiring needed to control all the functions in a vehicle is reduced, especially where the input source for operating a given function is remote from the function. A control member is provided that receives the input signal and converts it to a coded message that is applied to the power line. A function controller includes a coded reader and a control circuit for reading the code applicable to its associated function and controlling the function as instructed from the input signal. The control member also monitors the power line to insure that the message has been properly sent, and the message is repeated until proper transmission is confirmed.

Abstract: A vehicle headlight has a motor operated adjustable mounting for adjusting the beam of light in a plane. The adjustment device includes an ear on the headlight with an axially extendable arm, the extension of which is driven by an electric motor. Rotation of the motor causes motorized adjustment of the beam. The motor is slideably mounted in a retainer for movement parallel to the extendable arm. A manually adjustable screw adjusts the position of the motor along the slide to permit manual alignment of the headlight beam.

Abstract: A chip dispenser for dispensing a plurality of poker chips has a base with upper and lower surfaces and an outer wall through which extend a plurality of slides. Extending upward of the base is a plurality of tubular members for retaining chips. The thickness of each of the slides is chosen to be approximately equal to the number of chips to be dispensed with the actuation of each such slide. Upon actuation of a slide, the chips are moved to a cavity within the base and allowed to fall through a centralized hole in the bottom surface thereof and into a retainer.

The assembled envelope has advertising material printed on the visible surfaces thereof. A portion of the advertising material promotes the banking institution from which the envelope is issued and other portions of the advertising material promotes at least one unrelated business institution located in near proximity to the banking institution.

Abstract: A camera has an axially moveable cylinder retaining a lens and a piezo ceramic motor for axially moving the cylinder. The motor has a piezo ceramic drive member that incrementally advances the cylinder in response to the application of an electric potential and a piezo ceramic brake that locks the cylinder against movement. The drive member and the brake are alternately energized to advance the cylinder in a series of incremental steps.

Abstract: A marinating machine rotates a drum containing the food to be marinated. The drum is positioned on a pair of rotatable shafts only one of which is drivingly engaged to a motor rotating the drum. The pair of shafts is spaced far enough apart from each other such that the vector of force applied by the wall of the drum against the drive wheel is sufficient to ensure that the drum will rotate with the drive wheel. Within the drum is a pair of spaced apart paddles to agitate the food product being marinated. The two paddles are joined to each other by a compressible member, and the compressible member is compressed to allow insertion of the paddles into the drum. The compressible member applies sufficient force against the inner surface of the drum to cause the paddle assembly to rotate with the drum.

Abstract: A compressible sleeve for fitting around the shank of a rotatable tool has a cut out portion at the forward end thereof. The sleeve is compressed to a diameter less than the inner diameter of the bore of a tool holder by an annular wear ring having a generally cylindrical central opening with a diameter larger than the diameter of the bore of the tool holder, but having an inwardly directed projection that retains the cylindrical sleeve in a diameter that is less than the diameter of the bore of the tool holder. When the shank of the tool is subsequently driven into the bore of the tool holder, the wear ring is forced forwardly along the sleeve until the projection of the wear ring falls between the cut out portions of the sleeve thereby allowing the sleeve to expand to the diameter of the bore of the tool holder. The outer walls of the cut out portion of the sleeve engage the ends of the inwardly directed projection of the wear ring thereby preventing the wear ring from rotating with the tool.
