  • Patent number: 4050023
Abstract: The active filter circuit form of this invention is capable of realizing any general order linear transfer function, as for example, an all pass time delay or an elliptic function. There is no inductive element and only one operational amplifier which is directly output, eliminating problems with internal volume scaling or output impedance matching. A specific example realizes a single amplifier all pass delay with 8 complex roots.

  • Patent number: 4046034
Abstract: Improvements in construction of an open end adjustable wrench of the type which utilizes a handle enclosed helix-actuating assembly and thumb slide actuator for opening and closing the jaws of the wrench, such improvements being directed to the handle cavity, helix actuator and bearing members in support thereof. More particularly, the actuator cavity is of such design and shape that it can be formed as by drop forging while unitarily forming base bearing members therein in properly spaced relationship for receiving the helix actuator in rotatable, longitudinally fixed position to extend a bevel gear into proper operational relationship with a mating bevel gear to drive the jaw adjusting worm gear within the head of the wrench. A cavity cover plate is then unitarily formed with properly positioned retaining bearings such that the cover plate is easily affixed over the cavity with retaining bearings in proper position to coact with the helix actuator.

  • Patent number: 4026354
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus for temporary attachment to the top of a conduit string disposed in a well bore whereby an uncontrolled fluid blowout through the conduit string can be shutoff and controlled utilizing the apparatus. The apparatus includes a housing having a central bore disposed therethrough and a side connection formed therein communicating with the bore. A vent is sealingly attached to the top of the housing over the bore and shutoff valve means are disposed in the vent. A tubular member, the upper end of which is rotatably and sealingly disposed within the bore of the housing projects below the bottom of the housing and means are formed on the lower end of the tubular member for sealingly gripping the inside surfaces of the top of the conduit string upon the rotation of the tubular member.

  • Patent number: 3978838
Abstract: A device for generating high voltages from a relatively low voltage primary power source and finding particular usage in automobile engine ignition, television high voltage supply and the like, the device consisting of a periodically energized one-shot multivibrator which provides trigger output to a turn-on transistor network as connected in series with an inductor and diode to the primary power source. A charging capacitor periodically energized from the inductor then provides output energy to the engine ignition transformer or other auto-induction high voltage device. Specific circuitry of the device when used for engine ignition provides for anti-preignition, anti-point bounce and an alternator light by-pass circuit.

  • Patent number: 3947636
Abstract: A method and circuit for detecting transient noise pulses having predetermined characteristics which are contained in an input signal, and substituting for the portion of the input signal distorted by the noise pulse, an estimate of that portion based upon portions of the input signal outside the distorted portion.
