Abstract: Ramp system including one or more individual ramp components. Each ramp component includes a board defining an active ramp surface and a frame including a pair of substantially identical side panels, each having at least one board supporting edge including notches, and a support structure extending between and engaging with the notches in the side panels to support the board. The support structure provide supports for the board between the side panels and includes a cross-piece support extending between aligned pairs of notches in the board supporting edges of the side panels and a cross-piece extending between each aligned pair of notches in the board supporting edges of the side panels over a respective cross-piece support.
Abstract: An improved rescue device includes a floatation material, a flexible mesh disposed about the floatation material wherein the flexible mesh is in contact with an outer surface of the floatation material, and a bonding material covering the flexible mesh and the floatation material. The floatation material is a closed cell foam material, the flexible mesh is a nylon mesh, and the bonding material is a polyvinyl chloride paint. The rescue device may also include a tow line affixed to one end thereof and a plurality of rings arranged along the length of the tow line. A harness may be coupled to one end of the tow line and a securement device may be coupled to the tow line to retain the tow line in a compressed state. The securement device may be a collar which fastens upon itself by hook and loop fasteners.
Abstract: A carrying device includes an elongated strap having first and second ends, at least one clamp at least proximally coupled to one of the first and second ends of said elongated strap, and a securement device coupled to a region proximate at least one of the first and second ends of said elongated strap for coupling together the regions proximate the first and second ends of the elongated strap.
