  • Patent number: 7506466
Abstract: The improved sign/banner support is comprised of two parallel banner rods, each parallel to the vertical axis of a round or polygonal pole and each terminating in a cincture dimensioned to compressibly clinch the pole. The banner rods and cincture are comprised of a single length of a springable wire material. The rods are spaced to form an opening whereby the improved banner support may be presented to the pole. When mounted on the pole, the banner rods abut against the pole while the cincture forms an acute angle with respect to the vertical axis of the pole.

  • Patent number: 6971545
Abstract: A rectangularly shaped rigid structure having a front panel including an opening therein, a top panel, a rear, bottom, left and right side panels. Also included is an interior panel that cooperates with the interior surfaces of the top, bottom, left and right side panels to form a front compartment dimensioned to contain a collapsible beverage container including a pour spout positioned to project through the front panel opening and a rear compartment dimensioned to contain a cup retainer that holds a plurality of vertically stacked disposable cups. A removable section of the rear panel, delimited by a horizontal linear series of perforations, can be detached so that access is gained to the bottom-most cup, which can be dispensed and placed under the pour spout to dispense the beverage.

  • Patent number: 6658120
Abstract: A generally asymptotic incoming audio signal is split into positive and negative components. Two separate polarity-independent variable-gain amplifiers act upon the positive and negative components of the signal. A positive (negative) peak rectifier circuit monitors the positive (negative) output component of the signal. Each rectifier has a comparator amplifier that generates an error voltage. The error voltages assign gain factors to the positive (negative) variable gain amplifiers, thereby ensuring that the peak amplitudes of the positive (negative) are the same. A combining amplifier sums the positive (negative) components of the signal to form an amplitude symmetric signal. This signal may be used to modulate a radio frequency carrier to its maximum potential regardless of input signal waveform asymmetry.

  • Patent number: 6176202
Abstract: A combination aquarium and terrarium comprising a standard ten-gallon aquarium tank containing water, a physically smaller terrarium and a containment lid. Standard ten-gallon aquarium tanks include a channel shaped band and a channel lip facing the interior of the tank. The terrarium is configured so that, when placed in the tank, the top edges of the terrarium will be positioned between the channel shaped band and the channel lip. A containment lid is provided that mounts on the top side of the channel lip, thereby depressing the terrarium. This downward pressure acts in conjunction with the buoyancy of the terrarium to fix the terrarium in place.

  • Patent number: 6019064
Abstract: An animal observation system comprising two enclosures, each configured to provide a habitant for air-breathing animals. A cylindrically shaped gallery connects the enclosures. A section of the gallery is transparent and waterproof. Also included is a fish tank in which the transparent section is embedded. The transparent section spans the space within the tank so that air-breathing animals occupying the transparent section appear to be intermingling with aquatic life within the fish tank. Feeding stations are provided for the air-breathing animals to entice them into the transparent section.

  • Patent number: 5620192
Abstract: A Vehicle Support System comprising a plurality of dollies joined by a common axle. Each dolly sets upon a pair of tandem mounted castors which are free to rotate and pivot in any direction. In addition, at least one castor on each dolly is equipped with a castor brake. Each dolly further comprises a clevis which accepts the support point of the vehicle. Upon installation, the Vehicle Support System allows the vehicle to be moved about to a suitable location and then, by means of the castor brakes, fixed at that location.

  • Patent number: 5619007
Abstract: A bicycle mounted bulletproof armor shield system comprising a bicycle and two triangularly shaped body structures, the first structure is dimensioned to be contained within the area of the bicycle defined by the top tube, the down tube and the seat tube. The second structure is dimensioned to be contained within the area of the bicycle defined by the seat tube, the seat stay and the chain stay. Both structures are made of a bulletproof material. Handles are provided on the first body structure to facilitate positioning.

  • Patent number: 5503601
Abstract: An automatic transmission performance improvement kit comprising a set of components, which upon installation into an automatic transmission will allow the torque convertor clutch to lock up only in fourth gear. Shift lag is eliminated and clutches and bands will no longer slip. All of the components contained in the kit are or were previously used in automatic transmissions supplied by the same vendor as the subject transmission.

  • Patent number: 5421581
Abstract: A game device in which opposing magnetic fields are used to position a plurality of magnetic balance tiles around the periphery of a starting magnet in accordance with a set of rules which specify unique patterns of displacement and awards points which are consistent with the degree of difficulty in replicating the patterns. The game may be played by one or more players in a group.

  • Patent number: 5179847
Abstract: A cable locking device consisting of two axially slotted cylindrically shaped closed-end structures, each having attached a rigid tube of smaller diameter than the cylinder. The length of each tube is greater than half the wheelbase of a skateboard, and one tube will fit within the other. The axial slots allow each cylinder to be guided over the trucks of a skateboard, entirely encompassing the truck and associated mounting hardware. Upon installation of the device, the smaller rigid tube has been incorporated within the larger tube. The free end of an attached locking cable is inserted into two aligned apertures, one on each tube, and a locking device contained within the larger tube secures the cable in place.

  • Patent number: 5131862
Abstract: A resilient C shaped connector ring is described which can be snapped onto a BNC type coaxial connector plug. The connector ring includes a pair of short protrusions that prevent the outer shell of the modified BNC type coaxial connector plug from rotating. Also included is a pair of long protrusions that provide a gripping action when the modified BNC type coaxial connector plug is installed.

  • Patent number: 5079968
Abstract: A rotating bicycle shoe cleat consisting of an outer stationary structure and an inner, rotating structure. The stationary structure has front and rear locking portions which allow rigid engagement to a spring loaded clipless bicycle pedal. The rotary structure is mounted on the sole of a bicycle shoe. The two structures share a common axis of rotation. This common axis allows the rotary structure to pivot within the stationary structure when there is a dynamic lateral rotational force present. The amount of rotation is controlled by suitably located compression pads and limiting embrasures. In addition, the compression pads act as dampers. In all other respects, the rotating bicycle shoe cleat functions as a standard bicycle shoe cleat.
