    Abstract: An image pickup apparatus of the kind using an object illuminating device is provided with a colorimetric circuit which is arranged to measure the hue of ambient light existing around an object to be photographed other than the illumination light of the illuminating device. The light source of the illuminating device is provided with a hue adjustment circuit. The apparatus is thus arranged to adjust the hue of the illumination light generated by the illuminating device to the hue of the ambient light.
