  • Patent number: 7255319
Abstract: A square tubular steel frame extends between inner and outer concrete footing form walls and prevents the inner and outer form walls from bowing inwardly and causing an undesirable narrow footing width, or bowing outwardly and causing a form blowout. The steel frame is adjustable in width to accommodate the narrowest to the widest footings. A lower bracket supports the bottom of the form, and is adjustable in height. Each end of the frame is replaceable to accommodate a single form thickness, or to accommodate overlapping forms. The frame is reusable, easy to set up, and simple to take down and move to the next job, and is safe to use.

  • Patent number: 7106215
Abstract: An electrical circuit, attached to the tiles of the space shuttle, provides an indication of tile integrity in real time. Each tile has a resistor attached thereto between parallel conductors, and a series of tiles forms a protected grid series tile section. A computer, in conjunction with an ohm measuring device, continually monitors the tile integrity by comparing the baseline resistance of the protected grid series tile section to a measured value. A substantial difference in resistance between the measured value and the baseline value indicates the location and magnitude of a loss in integrity in the section, and an indication of such is provided to the shuttle crew. The conductors may be formed within the tile or may be attached to the thermally protected side of the tile.

  • Patent number: 6932901
Abstract: A gutter system is described which combines a leaf screen, rain gutter, drip edge and soffit vent into a unitary, molded plastic structure. The gutter system forms the fascia along a roof eaves. The gutter fascia can be molded with a wood grained texture or left smooth, and can be molded of any desired color. Because it is molded from a flexible, plastic material, the gutter can be folded flat, allowing multiple sections to be stacked and packed into a relatively small shipping carton.

  • Patent number: 6501021
Abstract: A shim for rigidly attaching an electrical device, such as a receptacle or switch, to an electrical box is described. The shim has means for frictionally engaging the attachment screw preventing it from falling off before the screw is attached to the box. The shim is made in varying thickness with each thickness of shim made from a different color for ease of identification.

  • Patent number: 6498291
Abstract: When static electricity builds up in the earth, it is suddenly discharged in a destructive bolt of electricity which can cause fires, property damage and loss of life. The present invention collects this static electricity from the earth before it can build up, and dissipates it to the atmosphere gradually so as to prevent fires, property damage and loss of life. A plurality of relatively long underground wires conduct the electricity from the ground to a metal pole which extends from the ground upwardly approximately 40 feet or more, and the pole dissipates the electricity to the atmosphere. In one embodiment, a U-shaped top fixture on the pole increases the dissipation of electricity to the atmosphere.
