Abstract: A float and guide assembly are disclosed for grooving wet mortar. The float assembly comprises a float, grooving rib, handle and two track brackets for guidably engaging a cable. The cable is part of the guide assembly which includes drum and ratchet assemblies which cooperate to hold the cable a predetermined height above the mortar and which impart tension to the cable so it can act as a guide.

Abstract: An improved tennis racket is disclosed which includes strings, a frame holding the strings in a common plane, a handle attached to the frame and marking indicia on the handle for insuring proper indexing between the common plane and the player's hand which grips the handle. The marking indicia comprises various combinations of finger grooves cut in the handle surface, bumps or other surface irregularities sensitive to palpation and aligning marks cut into, raised from or painted on the handle surface.

Abstract: A flower pot specifically designed for the successful growth of indoor plants including a bottom container for holding water and an upper container resting on the bottom container for holding potting soil and the plants, there being a plurality of cylindrical aeration tubes extending inwardly of the upper container through the side walls and having perforated tube side walls for placing the soil in communication with the surrounding atmosphere to prevent mold, and with there being a plurality of cylindrical tubes extending between the upper and bottom containers with each of a hollow configuration and each having a fibrous wick extending therethrough of a length such that one end is in contact with the water in the bottom container and with the opposite end extending through the potting soil adjacent the plant roots to carry water continuously from the bottom container to the potting soil about the plant roots by means of capillary flow.

Abstract: A tool for cutting cast-iron pipe is disclosed which includes inner and outer rings disposed annularly with respect to each other, a plurality of spring biased cutting pins reciprocally disposed in the inner ring, a plurality of cams disposed around the inner periphery of the outer ring and a motor mechanism for driving the rings relative to each other.

Abstract: An impeller type engine is disclosed which includes two cover members joined to form a housing, two cam members disposed in the housing facing each other to form a sinuous track of uniform width, a shuttle slidably disposed in the track, an impeller to carry the shuttle as it slides in the track, and means for introducing and igniting a fuel charge and discharging the combustion by-products.

Abstract: A bait holding device has an elongated rod divided by a hand plate and has a handle and line attaching loop member on one end and a plurality of projecting barbs and a line attaching loop member on the other end. A container encapsulates the bait holding device and is divided into a sheath at one end and a top container at the other end.
