Abstract: A method for facilitating movement of a plurality of nested trollies (including a leading trolley and a trailing trolley), the method comprising the steps of connecting an adjustable ratchet-type tension mechanism between the leading and trailing trolleys, and actuating the tension mechanism so as to produce a preselected tension between the leading and trailing trolleys to thereby hold the nested trolleys tightly together. In the preferred embodiment, the preselected tension is sufficient to upwardly the leading and trailing trolleys off of the ground surface.

Abstract: The invention includes an elongated frame member connectable to the eyebolt at the bow of a boat. A pair of brackets, are respectively connected to upper and lower ends of the frame member. One of the brackets supports a transversely extending rod receiving socket, and the other bracket supports a transversely oriented rod journal bearing, the socket and the journal bearing having the same longitudinal axis. An elongated rod member is slidably positioned in the journal bearing and has at the lower end thereof a locking element which is adapted to selectively co-act with either the journal bearing or the socket. A rod receiver member is connectable to the forward end of a trailer and includes a pair of spaced apart, longitudinally extending brackets defining therebetween a rod receiving pocket and having end portions flared in opposite senses to as to define a relatively wide rod receiving yoke.

Abstract: A high frequency signal source module includes a housing have a high-Q dielectric puck and a transition enclosure employing an antipodal finline transition. A circuit module connected to the high-Q puck includes an oscillator circuit that cooperates with the high-Q puck, and a frequency doubling circuit. In turn, the output of the frequency doubler is coupled to the antipodal finline transition, and thence to the output standard rectangular waveguide.

Abstract: A method of cleaning a soiled carpet by first prespraying the carpet with a preselected liquid chemical sprayed through a nozzle at a preselected specific pressure/flow rate to obtain an optimized spray droplet size which penetrates deep into the carpet while utilizing only a minimum volume of chemical solution and preventing overwetting of the carpet. After the prespray chemical has had sufficient time to chemically react with soil in the carpet, then the carpet is rinsed with pure water. The final step in the process is the extracting, by use of a vacuum, the prespray chemical and pure water from the carpet.

Abstract: A self-aligning double-acting simplex plunger pump comprising first and second combined plunger stuffing box and head members or blocks. A manifold is adapted to be abutted against one surface of the blocks and second spaced apart parallel surfaces of the blocks are abutted against the axial end face of a motor. Alignment means on the motor and on the blocks assure proper alignment of the blocks with respect to a piston driven by the motor which reciprocates between the blocks along a longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A cover assembly for a shooter's rest for use with a bucket having a top opening The cover has a preselected opening in which is positioned a tubulaly-shaped support member having an internal bore. An elongated threaded rod is sized to slidably fit within the bore. A manually-rotatable wheel with a central-threaded bore is positioned on the threaded rod. A support means is attached to the upper end of the threaded rod.

Abstract: A bag dryer comprising a pair of identical members, each having a central portion, and integral faucet-engaging portion, and an integral bag-engaging portion. The two members are pivotally connected and spring-biased so that the faucet-engaging portions tend to be rotated toward one another. The dryer is intended to be mounted upon a faucet over a sink so that dripping from a bag inverted over the bag-engaging portions may drip into the sink.

Abstract: A phase modulator for communication applications is constructed in so as to be easily implemented by way of MMIC technology. A phase modulator section is followed by a saturated amplifier section so as to provide substantially constant amplitude for all bits or states. The phase modulator section is a bi-phase shift keyed or quadrature-phase shift keyed modulator constructed in accordance with the present invention for discretely varying the phase of an input carrier signal between two or four possible phase states, respectively. The bi-phase shift keyed modulator includes at least a first pair of first and second transmission line segments and a pair of switches which each serve as a single-pole double-throw switch for operatively connecting one of the pair of transmission line segments between an input associated with the first switch, and an output associated with the second switch.

Abstract: A multifunction high frequency integrated circuit structure and circuit configuration includes a resonator or oscillator circuit coupled to a buffer amplifier by way of a stripline coupler. The resonator circuit includes an input terminating region which is coupled to three input terminating ports. A first one of the input terminating ports is coupled directly to the resonator for either being electrically connected to a selected signal source or load, a second one of the input terminating ports is electrically connected to either a fixed or variable potential source, and the remaining input terminating port is coupled to the resonator input terminating region through another stripline coupler, and is intended to be electrically connected to another selected signal source.

Abstract: A narrow-trench earth trencher and flexible tube installer, including a relatively large diameter narrow driven sprocket connected by a chain with attached earth cutters to a relatively small drive sprocket. The trencher includes a carriage frame adapted to be connected to a pulling vehicle, with wheels at one end to facilitate horizontal travel. Mounted on the carriage frame are first and second vertically-oriented trencher frame assemblies. The trencher also includes a vertically-oriented tubular member and a crumber for helping place the flexible tubing in the trench.

Abstract: A portable pump-type reverse osmosis apparatus includes a portable cart having a tub-like housing (12). A pair of elongated cylindrically-shaped R.O. units (36 and 37) sandwiched between a support means (25) and a cover means (45) are positioned within the housing. Both the support and the cover means include a contoured surface having recesses (29, 30, 46, and 47) that snugly engage a substantial portion of the R.O. units. A pump (55) enclosed by a spacer (65) is positioned above the cover means. A water container (75) is positioned above the pump to receive, hold, and dispense purified water from the R.O. units. To protect the unit from an inadequate water supply, a pressure switch (120) is included to permit operation of the R.O. units only when the incoming line pressure is within a preselected range.
