  • Patent number: 7878851
Abstract: Known pumping devices have a connection lid, a connection cap slipped over the connection lid, a hollow chamber formed between the connection lid and the connection cap, and electrical connections that extend through the connection cap into the hollow chamber. It is disadvantageous that when fuels containing water are being pumped, such as ethanol, corrosion can occur at the electrical connections and at the uninsulated cable segments that are exposed to fuel near the electrical connections, for instance at the electrical coils or flexible cables of the carbon brushes, and in the final analysis this leads to an interruption in the electrical contact and thus to failure of the pumping device. In the electrical device of the invention, corrosion of the electrical connections and of the electrical components adjoining them upstream and downstream is avoided entirely or at least greatly diminished. According to the invention, the electrical connections are each provided in separate chambers of the hollow chamber.

  • Patent number: 7878779
Abstract: The vane pump has a housing containing a rotor driven by a drive shaft. A number of grooves are distributed over the rotor circumference and extend in a substantially radial direction of the rotor, in each of which grooves a wing-shaped delivery element is guided in sliding fashion. The rotor is surrounded by a circumferential wall that extends eccentrically in relation to its rotation axis against which the radially outer ends of the delivery elements rest. Housing end walls of the pump housing adjoin the rotor in the direction of its rotation axis. An annular groove encompassing the rotation axis of the rotor is provided in at least one of the housing end walls and is situated opposite the radially inner regions of the grooves of the rotor and communicates with the pressure region via a connecting groove in the housing end wall. The connecting groove extends from the pressure region radially inward in the rotation direction of the rotor to the annular groove.

  • Patent number: 7878090
Abstract: A handheld power tool, in particular a power drill or power screwdriver, has a tool holder, which is displaceably received in a housing and which can be driven via a drive unit; a microswitch that can switch the drive unit on and off is provided, which is switchable upon an axial displacement motion of the tool holder via an actuating element. The actuating element is joined axially solidly to the tool holder, so that the axial displacement motion of the tool holder at the same time acts as the displacement motion of the actuating element, which motion actuates the microswitch.

  • Patent number: 7874812
Abstract: In known devices for pumping fuel, suction jet pumps are used which are driven by the fuel flowing back from the internal combustion engine and pump fuel from a supply tank into an impoundment container of a fuel pumping unit. In known suction jet pumps, the suction power is limited by the fact that the fuel stream applies itself to the housing wall, so that the entire area of the fuel stream is no longer available for entraining fuel. The device of the invention lessens this effect by providing at least one rib between the first partial section of the fuel line and the mixing conduit.
