Abstract: A bicycle shock absorption system is provided. The shock absorption system includes a frame having an axially extended bracket portion for coaxially supporting the bicycle's chain wheel; at least one elongate chain stay extending between the bicycle's rear hub sprocket and the frame's bracket portion; and, a revolving shaft for pivotally coupling the chain stay to the bracket portion. The revolving shaft is coupled in coaxially rotatable manner to the bracket portion, and includes a pair of axially offset locating ring portions disposed respectively adjacent the axially opposed bracket ends of the bracket portion. The locating rings serve to stop a relative axial displacement of the adjacent bracket end. The revolving shaft is secured to one end of the chain stay.

Abstract: A control mechanism for controlling axial movement of a driving shaft of a machine such as a drilling machine. The control mechanism consists of a clutch cooperating with a sleeve member which is operated by two pivotal handles such that when pivoted the driving shaft is lowered and is stopped when the handles are returned.

Abstract: A roasting jack in the present invention includes a first turning tray, a second turning tray and several spears. The first turning tray is provided with a plurality of notches in the circumference. Each notch has a catching section properly provided for the pressing hook with a fixing portion and an inserting portion formed on one end of a spear to be fixed in. The other end of the spear, i.e. spearhead, can penetrate through a hole in the second turning tray in order to be secured to the roasting jack. When the fixing portion of the pressing hook of the spear being slightly turned upward, the pressing hook will be separated from the catching section so as to make the spear be separated from the notch of the first turning tray.

The battery unit has a positive pole connected via a contact "a" of a switching switch to positive poles of a charging contact terminal and a power supply contact terminal. The contact "a" of the switching switch further connects an illuminating element and a press switch to the charging battery unit and negative poles of the charging contact terminal and the power supply contact terminal. The switching switch has another contact "b" connected in series with a buzzer and a high-voltage generator, both of which capable of forming a loop with the charging battery unit when the press switch is pressed. The high-voltage generator is connected to an electric guide rod controllable by a push switch to extend from or retract into the battery casing. All of the above-mentioned components are embedded below an outer planar surface of the battery casing to facilitate operation.

Abstract: A method of compressing letters adapted to store a letter in a specific bit and a memory unit includes compiling a set of 26 letters of the English alphabet and dividing it into two halves, which are respectively encoded as headers or tailers. Headers are stored in the specific bit, while tailers are stored in the memory unit, so as to reduce memory spaces. By using the method in combination with a speciaily designed data structure, 16 letters may be stored in 10 bits.

Abstract: A method of fabricating bamboo slats into bamboo blinds, wherein bamboo wood is cut into bamboo strips of predetermined length. The bamboo strips are polished, then boiled in a hydrogen peroxide solution for bleaching the strips. The bamboo strips are then spliced into raw bamboo slats of a predetermined thickness. Next, the bamboo slats are subjected to grinding. Subsequently the bamboo slats are primed, and then molded by heat pressing. Holes are then punched in the bamboo slats for insertion of a pull cord, so that the finished bamboo slats can be assembled into a Venetian blind.
