Abstract: A method of manufacturing a projectile resistant concrete panel used in the construction of buildings including making a concrete panel and applying a composite laminate thereto. The method includes coupling together a plurality of frame segments so that a concrete frame is established. The frame has an interior space that forms a receiver for a concrete mixture. The frame is filled with the mixture so that the interior space is spanned by the mixture across the frame. The concrete mixture is cured to a rigid state so that the set concrete mixture is retained within the frame thereby forming a concrete panel. The concrete mixture may be a lightweight mixture having polystyrene pellets therein which improve upon the insulating characteristics of the panel. Building construction panels manufactured from the concrete mixture may be combined with high strength laminate coatings or layers.
Abstract: A non-rotary caries removal and restoration system for use in the treatment of tooth structures. The system includes at least two solution constituent reservoirs adapted to separately store the constituents of a solution capable of abating organic tooth decay. Each of the solution constituent reservoirs are fluidly connected to an activation reservoir by means of pump and solution constituent conduits. The activation reservoir is adapted to receive, mix, and activate the solution constituents to form and hold said solution. A solution channel is fluidly connected to the activation reservoir by a solution conduit and adapted to dispense the solution upon or into a carious lesion having an organic component or matrix of decay. A handpiece shaped for hand use houses driver adapted to communicate sonic energy to an energy transfer tip. The energy transfer tip is releaseably coupled to the driver and configured to agitate the solution dispensed upon or into the carious lesion or matrix of tooth decay.
Abstract: A roofing safety system having several components that when installed in various combinations permits access to all locations on the roof's surface and allows roofing personnel to be continuously secured to the safety system from the time the roofer leaves the ground to do a roofing job until he descends back to the ground when the job is finished, a roofing anchor for attachment to a pitched roof's upper surface and to which roofing personnel make releasable connections. The roofing anchor includes a base plate that has a lower surface that is at least partially planar. The lower surface is capable of abutting engagement with the top upper surface of the pitched roof. The anchor has an elevational extension member that is connected to the base plate in a fixed orientation. An engagement plate is connected to the elevational extension member also at a fixed orientation. Releasable connections are made to the engagement plate by roofing personnel.
Abstract: A method for configuring a livestock stanchion between various orientations. The method includes providing a livestock restraining stanchion having two upright members that define a stanchion opening therebetween and through which an animal's head is insertable. A pivotal restraining member is positioned within the stanchion opening and is adaptable for restricting the size of the opening for releasably restraining an animal therein by entrapping the animal's head after insertion therein. At least one of the upright members is inwardly and outwardly movable relative to the other and oppositely positioned upright member for expanding and constricting a width of the stanchion opening. In one configuration, the movable upright member is positioned away from the opposite upright member into an expanded configuration thereby enlarging the width of the stanchion opening.
Abstract: A tortilla making device for flattening dough into tortillas. A base is included that has a lower pressing surface and a first heat source for heating the lower pressing surface. A pressing plate is pivotally coupled to the base; the pressing plate has an upper pressing surface and a second heat source for heating the upper pressing surface. A thermally insulated handle is coupled to the pressing plate for manually pivoting the pressing plate both toward and away from the base between a raised and lowered position. A lever arm is pivotally coupled to the base for engaging the pressing plate when the pressing plate is in the lowered position and for advancing the pressing plate from the lowered position to a pressed position. In another embodiment, the invention takes the form of a method for making tortillas using a single device that flattens dough into tortillas. The method includes the steps placing a portion of tortilla dough upon a lower pressing surface between the base and the pressing plate.
Abstract: A game piece for language related play having a plurality of flat exterior surfaces that are equal in number to the number of letters in the alphabet of a particular language. All of the letters of the particular language are displayed on the body so that one letter is on each flat exterior surface. Optionally, a corresponding braille character and/or a corresponding sign-language character may be displayed adjacent to each letter on the same flat exterior surface. In one embodiment, the language is English and the plurality of flat exterior surfaces number twenty-six.
Abstract: An indication means in a brake cylinder for a vehicle brake with a spring activated parking brake in which the brake cylinder comprises a cylinder housing (3) with a casing wall (22) and at least one gable (23). A pressure spring (5) is positioned between the piston (4) and the gable (23) of the cylinder housing for activating the parking brake by mechanically influencing the piston (4) of the brake cylinder. A bar (11) is axially displaceable relative to the release screw (1) in the throughbore (34) in the release screw (1). The bar (11) at a first end, within the cylinder housing (3), has a position sensing body (8, 16) which is axially fixed to the bar (11) and provided with a contact surface (40) for contact against the nut (7). At a second end the bar (11) has an indication body (12) which visibly protrudes out of the screw head (36) of the release screw (1) in case of axial displacement of the bar (11).

Abstract: A method for controlling the collection, processing and dissemination of information by a host regarding product and service availability. The method includes the steps of establishing a host operated information management system wherein the information management system is a computer having information processing and storage capabilities. The host also has electronic communication connections such as modems that permit third parties to electronically connect with the information management system for exchanging information therewith. Host approved sellers of products and services are granted limited electronic access to the information management system so that each approved seller then has a self-initiated capability to exclusively access that seller's inventory information that is maintained on the information management system for adding, amending and deleting portions of the seller's inventory information.
Abstract: Weighted suit to be used in athletic training, physical therapy, muscle toning and weight reduction. The suit has a bottom and top that can be adjusted to accommodate the physical characteristics of the wearer, as well as the activity to be performed by the wearer while the suit is worn. The suit also has weighted gloves which may be attached to the sleeve portion of the top of the suit. The suit is constructed from spandex material that accommodates stretch in one direction and resists it in another direction approximately perpendicular to the first. Weight compartments are located about the suit into which weight units may be installed. Variable weight packets may be used to selectively apply different resistance experienced during the user's activity. The weights are located away from the user's joints, and protective components may be integrally included into the suit to cover vulnerable knee and elbow joints.
Abstract: A securement assembly for releasably securing an article to an elongate member of a load carrier that is mountable upon a transporting vehicle. The securement assembly includes an elongate member of a load carrier adapted to slidably receive an article thereupon that at least partially surrounds the elongate member. The elongate member has a receiving portion and an extension portion, each portion being established when an article is engaged about the elongate member in a secured configuration. A depressible securing button is located at the extension portion and depressibly projects outwardly from the extension portion for preventing unintended disengagement of an engaged article from the elongate member.
Abstract: A mill for reducing solid material into smaller pieces including a hammer member oriented for rotation and having a plurality of hammer pins coupled to the hammer member for fragmenting solid material. A cutting member is oriented for rotation and having a plurality of blades for cutting solid material. The hammer member is positioned proximate to the cutting member so that solid material processed through the mill is broken into smaller pieces. The hammer member has a plurality of blades that are positioned, one each between adjacent hammer pins. The hammer member has a longitudinal axis about which the hammer member rotates. The cutting member has a longitudinal axis about which the cutting member rotates. The hammer member and the cutting member each having substantially cylindrical peripheries; and each of the peripheries includes a plurality of circumferentially aligned ridges and recesses.

A refrigerated space (1) arranged above a laminating space (2) contains a plurality of unwinding units (6) for film rolls and therebelow a conveyor (9) taking up a film unwound from a roll. The laminating space (2) includes an intermediate conveyor (10) onto which a film sheet is transferred for heating prior to transferring said film sheet onto a glass sheet advancing on a laminating conveyor (4).
