Abstract: A stable, water-miscible emulsion comprises specific proportions of (a) a fat-soluble vitamin (b) a liquid, edible vegetable oil, (c) a modified lecithin (d) a sucrose ester (e) sorbitan monooleate (f) a sugar alcohol and (g) water. The emulsion has an average droplet size of from about 0.5 microns to about 8 microns. The emulsion does not separate into distinct phases upon standing for prolonged periods of time.
Abstract: Reddish-brown to yellow shade colorants suitable for ribbon and ball point inks are produced from the glassy waste by-product of pararosaniline manufacture by slurrying the residue in mineral acid, diazotizing, and coupling. the resulting colorants are useful in preparing inks.

Abstract: High strength, highly transparent azo pigments have mean ultimate particle size of from 0.010 micron to 0.040 micron. These pigments are produced by a process in which the azo compound is reacted with a coupler in the presence of one or more of a specific group of surface active agents.
Abstract: This process for making antistatic filaments utilizes a specific mixture of compounds in order to suffuse electrically conductive particles into a filamentary polymeric substrate by forwarding the substrate through a grooved roll-type mix applicator. The mixture comprises a dispersion of the electrically conductive particles in liquid solvent which is a mixture of formic acid and a member selected from the group consisting of an amide, a carboxylic acid other than formic acid, an alcohol, an ester, a ketone, an ether, and a hydrocarbon. The process provides advantages over the prior art in permitting the use of high processing speeds, enabling easy stringup, and allowing the use of knotty and/or slubby filamentary substrates.
