  • Patent number: 7400553
Abstract: A one-return wave equation migration is used to extrapolate both down-going and up-going waves. Followed by a properly designed imaging condition, the partial image contributed form turning waves is correctly reconstructed. Numerical examples show that this method can significantly enhance definition of an overhanging salt boundary and a geological structure with vertical features.

  • Patent number: 7184905
Abstract: An electrical power (AC/DC) monitoring system remotely monitoring batteries and electrical power systems through a call center, providing continual monitoring, monthly reports, near real time viewing and service response. Modular by design, a plurality of individual input modules, which receive an analog voltage input, convert this signal to a digital format and send the digital signal to a central control which collects the data, then, at scheduled intervals, sends the collected data to a web server which contains the main software for the system. This software performs data comparisons, charts trends, predicts failures, plans and schedules service visits, then archives the data for future references. Alarm notifications are provided to the customer via Email, office phone (land line), cell phone (wireless), PDA, pager, etc. and can also be sent to a service provider to initiate the service response.

  • Patent number: 7100636
Abstract: The invention recirculates and/or recycles fluids normally lost down the drain during the time it takes for a desired temperature to be attained for usage of the hot fluids. A recirculating/recycling valve, through which hot fluids may flow, has an additional port fitted to the valve body, which by positioning the handle in a singularly unique position, fluids not at the desired temperature are sent back to the source from which they came, to a recycling toilet tank system or to a recycling standpipe at atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 6776232
Abstract: An insert rod guide has an elongated cylindrical member with an externally threaded first or upper end of a first diameter and an internally threaded lower or second end of a larger diameter with an axial bore extending between the ends. Intermediate the ends of the member is a truncated conical shoulder with a plurality of regularly spaced bores angled outwardly from the axial bore through the shoulder. An annular sand shield is mounted externally on the member for axial movement therealong. The sand shield has one face which is tapered to mate with the shoulder. An annular hardened insert is mounted on the upper end of the member and is held in place by retainer collar.

  • Patent number: 6763583
Abstract: A tool for cutting a live electrical wire and applying a connector thereto in a safe and convenient manner has a housing with a pistol grip and actuating means on a first end and wire preparing and connector application means at the opposite second end. At least the housing is made of electrical insulating material. The wire preparation portion comprises two parallel adjacent sections each having a wire gripping portion, an anvil and opposing cutter. When actuated, the cutter of one section completely severs the live electrical wire and the cutter of the other section, the sections being slightly spaced apart at this time, severs only the insulation of the live electrical wire. Continued movement of the actuation means causes the two sections to spread apart to remove the cut section of insulation from the electrical conductor and allow access of a connector applicator to the exposed end of the electrical conductor.

  • Patent number: 6629695
Abstract: A roping training apparatus provides a target moving along a substantially level track from a starting end to a stopping end. The target, such as a calf figure, is mounted on a wheeled platform and connected to one end of at least one tensioning member the other end of which is fixed to the stop end of the track. Guide means, such as cables, are connected between the ends of the track and engage and guide the target in its passage along the track. The actuating mechanism, in addition to the at least one tensioning member, includes latching assembly at the starting end of the track to engage the target assembly and hold it against the force of the at least one tensioning member. When the target is positioned in the actuating mechanism and then released, it moves along the track, under the influence of the at least one tension member, and a roper attempts to rope the target before it comes to a stop at the end of the track.
