Abstract: A device and method are provided for dispensing a quantity of food to be cooked. The device includes a freezer, a storage container located in the freezer, means located in the freezer for dispensing a predetermined quantity of food from the storage container into a secondary container, and means for dispensing the quantity of food from the secondary container to a location outside the freezer. The means for dispensing a predetermined quantity of food may be, for example, a magazine with dual spiral flights for dispensing food items one at a time, or a vibratory conveyor cooperating with a device for determining a quantity of food in the secondary conveyor and means for terminating the dispensing when a predetermined quantity of food is sensed. The secondary container may have an opening in its bottom and be movable laterally to align its opening with an opening in the freezer.

Abstract: A spatula having a body with a top working surface and a bottom surface is provided. The spatula body also includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. A handle is mounted to the first end of the body and the body has a first mounting member depending from the spatula body proximate the second end of the spatula body. The mounting member has an interior for receiving a mounting portion of the spatula blade and a second open end opposed to the first open end. The spatula body includes an opening in the body for cleaning the mounting member. A blade is provided for the spatula. The blade has a front section having a top surface and a bottom surface. At least a first spring tab extends rearwardly of the front section. The spring tab has a concave surface for one of its top and bottom surfaces.
Abstract: A computer system and method is disclosed that aids assessors in valuing commercial real estate. To support their cost-based value, assessors use the system to generate an income-based value. The user inputs ranking criteria. The system has a database of rents, vacancy rates, expenses, and cap rates that are derived from the market and are specific for application to properties within the assessor's district. The system calculates an income value based on recommended or custom indicators. The system also aids assessors in accurately calculating obsolescence. After the user inputs requested data, the system brings up the trended income value, calculates a percent difference between the cost and income values, and offers an obsolescence analyzer test to determine if there is obsolescence. If there is obsolescence, the system instructs the user on the correct way to apply it, and if not, additional questions are offered to help identify the discrepancy.

Abstract: A process and apparatus is provided for the purification of binary halide fluid. The process and apparatus purifies the binary halide fluid by selectively removing Bronsted acid impurities and/or volatile oxygen containing impurities present in the binary halide. A regenerable adsorbent polymer is utilized to remove the Bronsted acid impurities from the binary halide fluid and a volatile oxide adsorbent having a specific adsorption capacity for the volatile oxide impurity is utilized to remove the volatile oxide from the binary halide when in gaseous form.

Abstract: A system, method and computer storage medium are provided for computing analytics on structured data from at least one data source. Statistical estimates are computed using a statistics object. Software is provided which is capable of performing any of the data processing methods selected from the pass, stream and merge methods and performing at least one statistical calculation on data from the data source using the statistics object to compute statistical estimates by at least one method selected from the provided data processing methods.
Abstract: A method is provided for storing a cooked food in a flexible-walled container having an opening. The method includes placing a quantity of food in a flexible-walled container and submerging at least a portion of the container in a liquid with the opening being located so that liquid does not enter the opening. At least the lower portion of the container is maintained in the liquid and the food is maintained in the container below the surface of the liquid. The liquid collapses the container to seal the container. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained at a non-ambient temperature to heat or cool the food as it is stored. The method may also include storing the food adjacent a work surface, or at a remote main vat and transporting the rack to the work surface at which a serving that includes the food is prepared.

Abstract: A flashlight is provided comprising a LED illumination source, a power source electrically coupled to said LED illumination source, and a solid body encapsulating the power source and at least a portion of the LED illumination source. The invention further includes an underwater illumination system comprising a glove having an interior, an inner surface, and an outer surface, and an underwater flashlight comprising a LED illumination source, a power source electrically coupled to the LED illumination source, a solid body encapsulating the power source and at least a portion of the LED illumination source, and a securing member for connecting the underwater flashlight to said glove. A method for making an underwater, pressure-resistant LED flashlight is provided for making an encapsulating solid body for the elements providing illumination.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for packaging bulk materials into containers. The apparatus and method are useful in the bagging of bulk products, such as sand, salt, grain, feed and the like, and is particularly useful in rapidly forming sandbags. The bags can be filled at a remote location. The apparatus may be attached to a vehicle, such as a skid steer, tractor or truck, and can replace an existing bucket of a front end loader. The bucket scoops a quantity of bulk material into the bucket. An auger mounted in the bucket is driven by a motor to force a flow stream of bulk material out an opening in the bucket. An open container is placed adjacent the flow stream to rapidly fill the container with bulk material. The apparatus can also be provided as a retrofit kit to convert an existing bucket into a bagging apparatus.
Abstract: A display easel is provided having a base or first panel which includes a horizontal supporting tab and a vertical restraining tab spaced in vertical relation to the supporting tab. The horizontal supporting tab has a first hinge that enables movement of the supporting tab relative to the panel body, preferably to about 90 degrees, into a position for supporting the first panel. The vertical restraining tab has a second hinge which enables movement of the vertical restraining tab relative to the panel body, preferably between about 120 degrees and 160 degrees, to permit abutment of the vertical restraining tab to the horizontal supporting tab and to restrain movement of the horizontal supporting tab. By restraining movement of the horizontal supporting tab, the display easel is maintained in an upright position. A method of forming a display easel is also provided which enables the display easel to be rapidly and economically manufactured in large quantities, such as through the use of web press equipment.
