Patent number: 4729764Abstract: An irrigation device for injecting and withdrawing liquid from a body cavity, comprising a first chamber separated into two compartments by a partition provided with a one-way valve, wherein one compartment is operatively connected to a rolling diaphragm in combination with a piston member and the other compartment provided with a nozzle adapted to be coupled to a catheter already inserted in the body cavity.A second chamber is removably attached to the first chamber with a gasket and filter member therebetween. With the device filled with irrigating liquid, manually pushing the piston member into the operatively connected compartment forces liquid through the one-way valve into the other compartment and through the nozzle and catheter into the body cavity.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1986Date of Patent: March 8, 1988Inventor: Quentin E. Patent number: 4598889Abstract: A hinge for control surfaces of model aircraft, comprising a first hinge member formed with a lateral keyhole slot for removably engaging a lateral barbell portion of a second hinge member. The first hinge member is preferably attached to a fixed structure of the aircraft with the second hinge member attached to a control surface, such as, an aileron or elevator. Relative rotation of one hinge member with respect to the other hinge member allows the lateral barbell portion to operatively engage or disengage from the lateral keyhole slot. When engaged, the operatively coacting hinge members provide rotating hinge action between the control surface and the fixed structure of the aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 1984Date of Patent: July 8, 1986Inventor: Richard C. Patent number: 4425075Abstract: An apparatus for prealigning a silicon wafer prior to transfer to a work station. The wafer is spun on an aligning platform by means of air jets emanating from holes disposed in the surface of the platform while simultaneously being stopped by means of a vacuum source communicating with the surface of the platform. Sensor means detect when the wafer is centered within a first predetermined tolerance to turn off the air jets and vacuum to stop the wafer. Control means responsive to the sensor means then center the wafer to within a second predetermined tolerance. The wafer is then transported to the work station for processing.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1981Date of Patent: January 10, 1984Assignee: The Perkin-Elmer CorporationInventor: Peter W. Quinn
