  • Patent number: 7035097
Abstract: A docking module for conventional small form factor disk drives provides, in one embodiment, space for two such disk drives embedded in tray loaders, within a standard 3.5 inches halve height floppy bay. The docking module provides hot swappable insertion and removal of tray loaders together with disk drives. The bay is provided within a housing member. A button attached to a lever mechanism disconnects the docking module connector from the tray loader connector and partially pull out the loader when the button is pushed; An EMI shield fixedly coupled to the tray loaders each provide a barrier to electromagnetic interference.

  • Patent number: 6553929
Abstract: A compact and convenient hazard marker has a housing and a suction insert. The bottom end of the housing covers the suction insert where the releasing tab for the suction is hidden within the housing. Another embodiment of the invention has a spring-loaded mechanical device attached to a flag inside the housing. The flag is extendable and retractable outside the housing. The flag is retained by a locking means. There are grooves on the exterior wall of the housing for easy storage. The housing and the flag are painted in fluorescent color.

  • Patent number: 6504006
Abstract: Substrates for detecting and measuring the proteolytic activity of botulium type A neurotoxin in an assay are described. Detection is based on an increase in fluorescence due to hydrolysis of these internally quenched fluorescent peptide substrates by botulium type A neurotoxin. Several 13-15 amino acid peptides, derived from the substrate region of SNAP-25, have been constructed and analyzed for use in the assay.

  • Patent number: 6442885
Abstract: A motion decoy system is provided to attract a desirable quarry of waterfowls. The system includes a shaft having a plurality of arms and an outer bearing tube rotatably attached to each arm. Each adjacent arm points to an opposite direction to each other. The shaft is rotatably supported under a body of water in a target area by multiple supporting posts. A plurality of floating decoys placed upon the water is operatively attached to the bearing tube by a guide wire. A motor is supported by multiple supporting posts beneath the water. The shaft is operatively attached to the motor. The motor is electrically controlled by a user, whereby the motor imparts rotation movements upon the shaft in response to control signals from the user, whereby rotations of the arms of the shaft causing animated movements of the decoys to attract the quarry of waterfowls, wherein the animated movement simulates feeding activities of ducks, geese, or other waterfowls.

  • Patent number: 6421923
Abstract: A carpet trimmer comprises a base plate with first slots. Underlying the base plate is a post holder with upstanding threaded posts protruding through the first slots of the base plate. Overlying the base plate is a blade holder that engages the posts for movement with the post holder. A wall guide is formed from the blade holder by bending downwardly in spaced relation to the working edge of the base plate. A first indent is formed on the bottom surface of the blade holder at the junction between the wall guide and the blade holder. The blade holder has a first blade holding recess with a second slot exposed when a blade is in place. A notch on a blade-supporting strip attached on the inner wall of the wall guide, the inner wall, and the first indent forms a second blade holding recess. The first and second recesses define a blade holding area that has a length longer than the blade's length.
