Abstract: A footwear constructed from a single piece of material with a fleece-like surface having its outline cut into an appropriate shape and in accordance with the desired size of footwear with markings thereon to indicate where the cloth is to be sewn, folded and tucked and when completed the footwear is turned inside out to form the footwear having the fleece-like surface exposed on the outer and inner surfaces of the footwear.
Abstract: A support for holding an auto tag lid in an adjustably open position for access to the gasoline filler tube consisting of a rod having a link swivelly connected thereto, the link having a loop for being secured to a bolt that fastens the license tag to the lid and the rod having a pliable cup member mounted on its free end for engaging the body of the auto.
Abstract: An improved hair curler and stand wherein the hair curler consists of a handle and a rotatable hair curling device removably mounted on the handle, the handle containing a motor and batteries for rotating the curling device and the stand having means for receiving the hair curling device and handle with heating means for heating the hair curling device when stored on the stand.
Abstract: A game played by two persons consisting of a vertically oriented housing having a pivoted indicator actuated by each person for rotating a weighted and imbalanced gear that is brought to a stop by the other person at his discretion, the indicator stopping at one of the numerals that are positioned about the pivoted indicator and symmetrically positioned on opposite sides of an imaginary vertical line through the indicator pivot. These numbers being noted and tallied on pegs mounted on the housing. The winner of the game is the person acquiring a sum total of his numbers that equals exactly the highest or winning number indicated on the housing; otherwise he must continue the game starting with a new talley that is the number in excess of the established winning number.
Abstract: A compliant underwater pipe system having a compliant pipe whose buoyancy is readily controlled extending vertically in a sea, having a pump module mounted at the bottom end of the compliant pipe and an energy conversion device at the top end thereof whereby cold water is pumped from the bottom of the sea to the energy conversion device that utilizes the difference in temperature of the water to produce energy in a useable form.
Abstract: A multi-position focusing apparatus having a plurality of pads mounted about a centerline receiving ray reflecting members or energy emitting devices thereon, whereby the pads are focused along the centerline on a desired point in space to concentrate all of the energy on the selected point and when once focused, upon operating the apparatus at substantially all positions of the pads, the focal point of the pads will lie in a common point along the centerline.
Abstract: An adjustable beam clamp for securing a concrete form for the pouring of concrete a beam or lintel that does not require the use of fasteners for securing the form to the wall having a pair of legs engaging the boards that constitute the concrete form. One leg is pivoted to permit the clamp to be expanded when slipping the legs into position over the boards. A threaded rod extends from one leg to the other with a wing nut to draw the two legs tightly together against the boards. Secured to the lower side of the rod is a pair of angle bars which form a downwardly extending slot for receiving the top edges of the boards upon which the clamp rests. A bracket is mounted on the upper end of the one of the legs for receiving a 2 .times. 4 beam in order to align the clamps along the wall.
Abstract: A rotatable valve assembly for controlling the flow of fluids under pressure having a ball valve, a valve seat engaging the valve on opposite sides thereof, one of the valve seats being fixed and the other being movable; with fluid tight seals mounted on the valve seats and engaging the ball valve, the movable valve seat being responsive to the fluid under pressure whereby variation of fluid pressures will compel the movement of the ball valve toward and away from the fixed valve seat to provide a fluid tight seal therealong.
Abstract: A water dumping toy consisting of a bucket adapted to be filled with water pivotally mounted on a standard and having a release device for tilting the bucket including a target which when made to swing upon being struck by a missile causes the release member to become disengaged causing the bucket to swing downwardly and dump the water onto the area therebelow.
Abstract: A combined housing and standard for measuring current velocity and direction in a body of water wherein the housing is tubular in shape in which an inclinometer is mounted and connected to the standard for vertical movement of the housing along the standard, the latter being mounted on a vertically disposed anchoring line. A pair of flexible fins is symmetrically mounted on the housing for positioning the housing in a plane parallel to the directional flow of the current while the housing assumes a vertical tilt proportional to the velocity of the current; the inclinometer registering the compass reading and angle of tilt from which information the direction and velocity of the current are ascertained.

Abstract: A door safety latch permitting the partial opening of a door consisting of an arcuate lug mounted on the door, and having an enlarged ball portion mounted on the end thereof, with a fastening member mounted in the door frame having a pivoted yoke portion whose spaced apart leg portions prevent the ball portion of the lug from passing therethrough. At the pivoted end of the yoke portion, the leg portions are sufficiently spaced apart to permit the ball portion to pass therethrough. When the door is in a closed position and the safety latch swung to the position to permit only a partial opening of the door, the arcuate lug will extend through the space between the leg portions.
Abstract: An impact absorbing bumper consisting of a housing and resilient impact receiving member having an inner portion slidably mounted in the housing and an outer portion extending through an opening in the housing and engaging an inner tube containing air under pressure positioned in the housing. Upon impact the inner portion acts as a piston against air under pressure in the inner tube to absorb most of the impact force, while the inherent resiliency of the impact receiving member absorbs part of the impact force as well as upon becoming distorted by the impact, increased resistence is offered at the opening to the sliding movement of the impact receiving member.
