  • Patent number: 6675423
Abstract: A web cleaner and cleaner roll system includes a frame having rotatably mounted thereon a web roll for rotation by a web that travels thereover during a web cleaning operation, a turret shaft rotatable in spaced, parallel relation to the web roll, and a pair of web cleaner rolls carried by the turret for rotation in spaced parallel relation to each other and the web roll. The turret shaft is intermittently rotated to move each of the two cleaner rolls between an operative position in which one of the two rolls is in rolling, cleaning engagement with the travelling web and the other is in an inoperative position in which it is spaced from said web. The turret shaft and cleaner rolls are mounted on the frame for limited movement toward and away from the web, and function to force a cleaner roll in its operative position resiliently against the web that is being cleaned.

  • Patent number: 6581858
Abstract: Components of crushed fluorescent lamps are conveyed pneumatically from a lamp crusher housing to a cyclonic hopper and enter tangentially into the hopper adjacent its upper end. The components include heavy glass particles and caps which are allowed to drop by gravity into a separator housing where they are separated from each other and discharged into different storage containers. Lighter glass particles and dust are recirculated from the upper end of the hopper back to the crusher housing. A vacuum source draws dust and vapors pneumatically from the bottom of the hopper and introduces them tangentially into a cyclone filter housing where particulate matter is allowed to drop into a dust collector. This vacuum source also draws lighter dust and vapors from the upper end of the cyclone filter housing to a dust and mercury filter. Mounted in the crusher housing is a paddle element which rotates adjacent lamp crusher blades and mechanically sweeps lamp components towards the crusher housing outlet.

  • Patent number: 6558268
Abstract: A putter head is provided with a plane, flat golf ball engaging surface which extends between opposite ends of the putter head. Mounted in a recess formed in the putter head rearwardly of its face is an adjustable sighting line support having in its upper surface an elongage sighting line which registers at one end with the face of the head, and extends rearwardly therefrom. The support is mounted for limited adjustment about an axis that extends parallel to and is spaced rearwardly of the face of the putter head. In one adjusted position the sighting line extends at right angles rearwardly from the putter face in a manner similar to conventional putter sighting lines. However the support is mounted for limited rotational movement for up to at least 10° either clockwise or counterclockwise about its pivotal axis thereby to cause the sighting line to be secured in any one of a plurality of different angular positions other than 90° relative to the face of the putter head.

  • Patent number: 6511305
Abstract: A biphase conveyor of a mixture of fine solid components with pasty and liquid components based on the use of rotational and periodic inertial forces is described. In accordance with the present invention the conveyor comprises a mechanism which impresses on the identical rotor pair R1 and R2 a periodic oscillatory motion with identical frequency and with phase other than 90°. The oscillation mechanism can consist indifferently of a connecting rod & crank system or a rotating bearing with eccentric axis between two guides fastened to the rotor. On R1 is rigidly fastened a biphase circuit whose inlet E01 is connected with the feeder of the materials to be conveyed and the outlet U01 with the inlet E02 of an identical biphase circuit fastened on R2 whose outlet U02 is connected with the user. All this develops a resultant of continuous inertial forces with constant direction from E01 to U02 which causes the flow of the materials making up the mixture.
