Abstract: On a gas-turbine engine, in particular an aircraft engine, with a fan, a fan casing and a fan duct as well as with high-pressure and low-pressure turbines arranged behind each other in flow direction in the casing of the engine, the auxiliaries connected are to be operated with only a small increase in engine power. For this purpose in the flow direction of the airflow (20) exiting from the high-pressure turbine (15) a bleeding mechanism is provided for bleeding radially into the fan duct (4) at least part of the airflow (20) leaving the high-pressure turbine (15) on the upstream side of the low-pressure turbine (16).
Abstract: A method for curing a resin contained in a liner of an underground pipe or passageway by use of a mobile magnetron module. The module navigates the length of the passageway of pipe via air pressure which also keeps the liner inflated. A winch attached to the module regulates the rate at which the module traverses the passageway or pipe. As the module makes its way through the passageway or pipe, the magnetron emits microwaves which cures the resin. Additionally, a thermal imaging camera can be utilized in the module or trailing the module to monitor the status of the curing of the resin in its entirety.

Abstract: A packaging arrangement is provided for displaying a tool set and a plurality of interchangeable work pieces at a point of sale that is useable as a carrying case after it is purchased. The packaging arrangement has an insert with a plurality of receptacles at spaced apart intervals between the outer ends for individual reception of the interchangeable work pieces. A locking member is provided with the insert and is moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position to selectively secure the interchangeable work pieces in the receptacles of the insert.
Abstract: A gas-turbine exhaust cone includes a cone shaped outside cone 1 closed in a flow direction, an inside cone 2 arranged in the outside cone 1 over at least part of the length of the exhaust cone, with the inside cone 2 being connected to the outside cone 1 via at least one helical partition wall 3, thereby forming an interspace 4 between the outside cone 1 and the inside cone 2. The interspace 4 is connected to inlet openings 5 at its inflow side and opens at an exit side 6 towards an interior 7 of the outside cone 1. A dampening element 8 is arranged in the outside cone 1 adjacent to the exit side 6 of the interspace 4.
