Abstract: A support system for a bird feeder including a pole member for support of the bird feeder, a clamp member for positioning about the pole member and including upper and lower jaws, and a support block supported by the lower jaw. The lower jaw has an open chamber for receiving the support block and a screw member is provided for tightening the support block toward the upper jaw to tighten the clamp member about a support rail.
Abstract: A protective cover fits over assorted marine mooring buoys and protects a boat or other such vessel against impact and abrasion from the mooring buoy. The mooring buoy cover is constructed from impact and abrasion resistant materials. The cover includes a dome shaped section that is constructed of an impact resistant material and that is formed so as to fit with a top part of the mooring buoy and a collar section contiguous with the dome shaped section and extending to cover a shackle that is disposed at the top of the mooring buoy.
Abstract: A sealing disc and a film composite for a container closure is provided, for use on a container with an opening bounded by a peripheral edge. The film composite includes a plurality of layers. An adhesive layer is arranged at least over a joining surface between the upper layer and the underlying layer.
Abstract: A hanger having a novel construction including an engagement member, a foldable body portion having an upper end with a pair of continuous locking openings, and a lower or tail end with a two prong locking member which engages the locking openings in a secured or closed position is disclosed. In one embodiment, the prongs of the locking member include a tapered head having a locking projection that engages a rear planar surface of the body portion, between the locking openings, in order to discourage removal of the locking member from the locking openings in use. The combination of these features allows the belt hanger to be readily assembled, tamper resistant after assembly, and aesthetically pleasing.
Abstract: A longline assembly includes an elongated main longline element, a plurality of longitudinally spaced gangion lines attached to the longline element, and a plurality of hooks on the outer extremities of the gangion lines. The gangion lines each include a monofilament core element and a braided outer casing which is formed in a tight solid braid pattern over the core element to firmly secure the outer casing to the core element. The core elements add preselected degrees of stiffness to the gangion lines to maintain them in substantially outwardly extended relation to the longline element during fishing operations, and the outer casings provide improved surface characteristics which facilitate handling and knotting or otherwise terminating of the gangion lines.
