Abstract: A fully wrapped round or non-round core wire musical instrument string (10) comprising a core wire (12). A plurality of inner wrap wires (14), (16), (18) are helically wound concentrically about a central portion of the core wire (12). An outer wrap wire (20) is helically wound concentrically about the complete length of the inner wrap wires (14), (16), (18) and most of the end portions of the core wire (12). Opposite ends (22), (24) of the core wire (12) extend outwardly from the outer wrap wire (20). The outer wrap wire (20) will retain the inner wrap wires (14), (16), (18) in place on the central portion of the core wire (12), so that the inner wrap wires (14), (16), (18) cannot loosen and will last longer. The inner wrap wires (16), (18) and the outer wrap wire (20) are self-adhered to the core wire (12), thereby eliminating the need for swaging, crimping or any other manner of securing. The fully wrapped core wire musical instrument string (10) is used in combination with a string instrument (28).
Abstract: The invention relates to a security device for doors or windows for foiling unwanted entry into a secured facility comprising a limited rotational vertical rod having a plurality of parallel horizontal rods extending from said vertical rod. The parallel horizontal rods are positioned into a locked position against the interior door, into a partially open position by holding the edge of the door with curved ends and into an unlocked position away form the door.

Abstract: The invention relates to a Martial Arts Training Apparatus employing a vertical column, a semicircular screen fastened to the front of the vertical column and covered with a rubber cover which is in turn covered with a leather cover. A heavily padded arm comprising a rod with a spring at one end and heavily padded with rubber and leather is affixed to the column at various heights through spring loaded locking devices. The arms respond to aggressive attacks by the athlete in a different manner dependent upon the direction and thrust of the athlete.
Abstract: A positive, variable speed transmission system comprising a pair of beveled plates and a plurality of slidable balls which are moved between said plates, the position of said slidable balls determining the speed variation of said transmission system.
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for accurately counting the number of containerized items by movement of a unitary emitting and sensor of a beam of light over rows and columns of the planar surface platform supporting the containerized items.
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus and methods for the operation of a portable workshop over workpieces comprising arms for clamping said workpieces, a first pair of guides supported upon said arms, a plurality of circular rims positioned within each other for rotatable movement upon said guides relative to each other, and a second pair of guides affixed to the innermost circular rim to form a turntable for the operation of portable electrical tools.
Abstract: A chain driven and receiving, continuously infinite variable speed transmission system comprising a pair of cones positioned in the same plane with the smaller diameter of each cone in proximity with the larger diameter of the other and encircled by a continuous flexible chain having pins extending therefrom for engagement and disengagement with spiral gears on the cones positioned in grooves parallel to the longitudinal axes of the cones. Either of the cones may be driven and the chain transmits the power to the other cone at a speed determined by the position of the chain relative to the cones. The system employs a planetary gear system for zero and reverse rotation of the variable speed output from the driven cone.
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for separating metals and ashes from the residue remaining after incineration by positioning a magnetic drum between six (6) and twelve (12) inches from the conveyor transporting said residue to result in the maximum amount of reclaimed metal.
Abstract: A portable hydrant wrench for use by one man comprising one or more drive bars having a rectangular cross-section and employing a detachable socket wrench at one of the free ends. A flange is secured to the hydrant to be serviced provided in conjunction with the hydrant for one embodiment of the invention having an external rotatable support for a platform for positioning the drive bars in the center of the hydrant so that a turning device can be used to turn the tool with out providing any twisting force to the hydrant. Another embodiment of the invention provides for an internal platform within the hydrant for supporting internal power transmitting means to turn the drive bars and so operate, remove or replace the valves located underground.
Abstract: A stereoscopic process for providing three dimensional viewing through a conventional television comprising the steps of receiving video signals having chromatic aberration, modifying said video signals into stereo images for any scope aspect, recording said modified stereo images on a video media, transmitting said modified recorded stereo image pairs to a conventional television and independently viewing said stereo images with depth perception through adjustable eyeglasses having chromatic aberration complementary to the recorded chromatic aberration.
Abstract: The invention relates to a temperature regulating/pressure relief valve employing a shaped memory alloy wire positioned under tension within the housing of the valve. The wire contracts upon an increase in temperature in the fluid passing through the valve thereby initially either closing or opening the valve, and subsequently loading a spring which maintains the valve closed or opened under a predetermined pressure.
Abstract: A coin operated elapsed time apparatus capable of receiving coins at any time, even while counting down, in order to increase the time remaining and therefore avoid the additional costs required to activate the system again if the service or use of apparatus required that more time be rented or purchased. The apparatus continuously displays the time remaining and gives a warning a predetermined period of time before the time runs out, thereby enabling the purchase of additional time and displaying the sum of the elapsed time remaining and the additional time purchased immediately after the insertion of an additional coin.
Abstract: Applicant's invention relates to a process and apparatus for the high speed welding in large quantities of various geometric shaped jump rings to buttons, pendants and other jewelry by utilizing composite jump ring apparatus having first and second projections extending from the jump rings at different locations so that they may function in automatic welding machines.
Abstract: A process for fabricating miniature hollow gold spheres comprising the steps of gold plating copper plated miniature balls having centers employing compressible material, piercing small holes in the balls, extracting the compressible materials from the balls along with the cutouts formed by piercing step, and heat treating said hollow gold spheres.
Abstract: A portable, foldable playpen having rectangular upper and lower frames to which a flexible enclosure is affixed and which folds along its end members when released by folding vertical members to form a compact arrangement.
Abstract: An improved drum rim for a drum in which a portion of the periphery of the upright section of the rim is either omitted or substantially reduced.
