Abstract: A device to automatically provide differing information levels according to a predetermined social hierarchy includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores social templates corresponding to unique social signatures and being selectable to provide, for each level of the predetermined social hierarchy, a corresponding differing amount of information to each member of the predetermined social hierarchy and/or a social networking service. The processor receives sensor data from a sensor set which detects sensor data related to an environment of a communication device, creates a detected social signature from the received sensor data, determines which of the social signatures of the social templates has the greatest correspondence with the created social signature, retrieves from the memory the determined one social template having the greatest correspondence, and provides only as much information as allowed in the retrieved social template.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method for tracking movements of objects to infer a topology of a network of multiple cameras. The apparatus infers the topology of the network formed of the multiple cameras that sequentially obtain images and includes an object extractor, a haunting data generator, and a haunting database (DB), and a topology inferrer. The object extractor extracts at least one from each of the obtained images, for the multiple cameras. The haunting data generator generates appearing cameras and appearing times at which the moving objects appear, and disappearing cameras and disappearing times at which the moving objects disappear, for the multiple cameras. The haunting DB stores the appearing cameras and appearing times and the disappearing cameras and disappearing times of the moving object, for the multiple cameras. The topology inferrer infers the topology of the network using the appearing cameras and appearing times and the disappearing cameras and disappearing times of moving objects.

Abstract: A multimedia player for providing two projection images is provided. The multimedia player for displaying two projection images includes: a first projection unit displaying a first projection image; and a second projection unit displaying a second projection image. The first projection unit includes: a first driving unit controlling an operation of the first projection unit and providing an image signal on the first projection image to be displayed; a first light source unit; a first light modulation device outputting the first projection image by modulating light provided from the light source in response to the image signal of the first projection image; and a first projection lens unit magnifying and projecting an image that is output from the first light modulation device. The structure of the first projection unit is the same as that of the second projection unit. The multimedia player further includes a screen sensing unit sensing a color of an area in which an image is to be displayed.

Abstract: A polybenzimidazole-base complex includes a polybenzimidazole-based material and a base, wherein a peak corresponding to NH of an imidazole ring of the polybenzimidazole-based material does not appear at a chemical shift of 12 to 15 ppm in a 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectrum of the polybenzimidazole-base complex. A crosslinked material may be formed as a polymerization product of a polybenzimidazole-base complex and a benzoxazine-based monomer. The crosslinked material may be used an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell comprising the crosslinked material, and a fuel cell may include the electrolyte membrane.

Abstract: An apparatus for distinguishing forged fingerprint and a method thereof are disclosed. A different threshold angle for total reflection is applied when forged fingerprint is touched on a fingerprint input surface of a prism, and the forged fingerprint distinguishing apparatus and method use the above fact. Accordingly, using a separate light source, from which a ray of light is emitted with a light axis at a predetermined range of incident angle, acquired fingerprint image is compared and it is determined whether the fingerprint image corresponds to authentic fingerprint or forged one.

The vision watching system includes: a receiver which receives an image signal of a watching zone of a camera; a processor which determines whether an object of the image signal is a person, based on a size and an outline of the object and determines whether the person wears a safety hat, based on at least one or more of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) values of a head part of the person and a Hue value of Hue, Saturation, Value (HSV) of the head part; and a transmitter which outputs a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control signal of the camera to obtain a thumbnail image of the person when determining the person who does not wear the safety hat.

This light-emitting device shows little color change due to temperature change and efficiently emits light, even when it is used in a high temperature environment, and it is especially suitable for lighting apparatuses for vehicles such as headlamps.

Abstract: The invention intends to provide a single crystal material that can be used as a dielectric material for use in electronic devices, which has a high Qf value; and a process for producing the same. According to the invention, a single crystal of a composite oxide is obtained from a composition in which a slight amount of SrTiO3 is added to LaAlO3, and the (1-X)LaAlO3—XSrTiO3 single crystal material having the specific composition has such dielectric characteristics for electronic devices that the dielectric constant is 24 or more and the Qf value is 300,000 GHz or more, is considerably improved in the Qf value as a dielectric material, and can be applied to a high-temperature superconducting filter.
